Prym 8mm Ergonomic Crochet Hook, 17 cm, Purple, Plastic

I’m a lefty, overhand hook holder and prefer Addi Swing. I had been using a generic hook with a silicone grip that worked loose and was driving me nuts: I ordered my first Prym. I was shocked at the ease of using the Prym and thought my stitches looked better. Additionally I used a stop watch to confirm it was faster to use. It was! For me, time saver and ease/comfort of use worth every penny.

Very comfortable grip! Doesn’t drop stitches. I love it!

Used to crotchet blanket

I crocheted a baby blanket with this guy and my hands didn't hurt at all! I crochet for hours at a time, so this really helped. The hook body is well made and there's plenty of room on the neck. I want to buy the whole set!

So I bought the 8.00mm and used it on acrylic yarn. Like everyone else said it did squeak even when doing slip stitches which requires loose tension. However, I'm currently using a yarn that's a wool and acrylic blend and it's gliding on the hook very easily and there's NO Squeaking! Totally silent. They really mean it when they say that these hooks are for wool. Also, I love the hook shape. I'm a susan bates incline hook kind of girl and these hooks definitely work well if that's the kind of hook you like.

Easy to hold. Nice finish makes it glide across the yard. Worth the cost.

This hook feels good in my hand but yarn does not slide as smoothly as with the clover hook and the hook part is pointy. I just didn’t like how it held the yarn.

This is my favourite type of crochet hook. It’s soft and has a good grip, easy on the wrists, and the tip of the hook is the perfect shape, a bit pointier than many other brands, as I don’t like it when it’s too round. Definitely recommend.
