Another winner from Hanayama
Hanayama has become one of my favorite puzzle manufacturers in the word--perhaps even my absolute favorite--and it's because they reliably produce high-quality puzzles that are well-made, look attractive and interesting, and often have intriguing puzzle mechanisms. This Slider puzzle is no exception. The puzzle consists of three metal pieces that slide against each other. As usual, your job is to take them apart and then put them back together. This particular puzzle is far from the most difficult. In fact, though Hanayama markets it as a level 3 difficulty, I might even call it a level 2. The reason is because, if you just sit down and absentmindedly fidget with it, you could eventually solve it by accident. However, if you solve it with intention, you'll see that the solution is deceptively simple and elegant.Unlike some other puzzles wherein even once you solve it you can still struggle to recreate the solution, this one has a simple enough solution that you're likely to remember it once you've solved it once. As such, it has limited "replay" value. On the other hand, if you're the kind of person who likes to carry around some little puzzles with which to challenge friends, this will be a perfect addition to your collection.

Excellent quality and feel. Seems simple, but...
Hanayama puzzles have become my favorite. I have to say the quality is astounding. The "Slider" is no exception. The feel of it in your hand is the first thing I loved. Heavy and cool to the touch. When I took this puzzle out of the package, I thought, "This is going to be easy.". I was wrong. Though at first, it seemed like it was going to just fall apart, it didn't.To be honest, I solved this while watching a movie, and wasn't paying attention to how I did it. I was basically just using it as a fidget toy while watching the movie. It fell apart before I had a chance to see how. Now I had the three pieces apart with no clue how to put them back together. I only knew the relative positions the pieces were in before they came apart, so I had a starting point. When I finally figured out how to put it back together, I was extremely satisfied. The solution is simple, now, and I enjoy watching my friends get frustrated, and seeing their surprise when I show them the secret.I now have six of their puzzles, with more on the way. I just can't get enough.

Entertaining. Not super difficult
This was a fun little puzzle. Took me about 30 minutes to take it apart and put it back together. The people at work had fun trying it out

Easy to solve, but even easier to overthink it. Fun!
I can't believe these things aren't more popular. If you like brain teaser puzzles, this one is cool. I solved it and put it back together, but can't remember how I did it. I'm already looking at more of these as gifts and for myself. It's well built, heavy, and just looks nice.

The most unexpected fav gift
Bought this for my sons best friend… he’s like a 3rd son and I have never seen someone so excited. He told me he used to watch YouTube videos of these when he was in middle/high school. He’s a freshman in college now. He spent a couple hours on and got it apart then spent a couple days trying to get it back together. It was a stocking stuffer. They way he loved it was worth it so much. ( I bought two more after Christmas for him with harder/higher skill levels. Was totally stoked when I gave them to him. I can’t speak on how great the quality is etc but if someone likes puzzles and working their brain highly recommend. He really humbled me with how thankful he was for such a gift I didn’t even know he’d love. It was “just” filler.. but to him, who didn’t have a lot growing up… it was EVERYTHING. A THOUSAND STARS ⭐️

High quality hanayama
This puzzle is very nicely built, very smooth and doesn't bind. Was interesting to find that the solution was so simple yet requires you to really think about how it moves. This is my 4th hanayama puzzle and it is one that I would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be buying more hanayama puzzles.

Great puzzle but missing pouch
I got this puzzle for Christmas and played with it for a while. The puzzle itself is really good and very satisfying. After having it a few days I went onto amazon and saw that there was supposed to be a red velvet pouch with it. I am fine not having it, but the fact that it didn't come was very disappointing. The puzzle itself deserves 5 stars but I just couldn't bring myself to give it that because the pouch never came.
