Needs some improvement but does the job.
I'm debating between 3 and 4 stars. Does it work? Yes. Is it spectacular? Definitely not. I ordered 2 to put over a sofa bed that is ordered. Opened the first box and the knob to turn the lamp on/off is not on the light. It's in the box. Pull out the second light and while that knob is on, after 4 or 5 turns back and forth, it too comes off the light. Reason? The glue sucks. The cover has some sort of glue to cover the knob and twisting takes the glue off. Solution? Pluck off the glue and wrap some masking tape around it. The tape provides the friction needed for the cover to turn the knob. There is the 1st star gone.Next annoying thing which has me teetering between 3 and 4 stars is mounting the thing. With such tedious screw placement needed, a pattern would have been helpful to align the holes. But there isn't one. Soooo I unscrew the back of the light allowing me to line up the holes. Plus side? I got that back piece on there really snug. Downside... it was annoying.

Great lights for a great price!
I love everything about these lights. I was hired to transform a room for two boys and I was looking for 2 wall pendants. I found these and ordered them thinking maybe I’d have to return like some of the other things that don’t meet my expectations. I was impressed! They are very sturdy and easy to mount on the wall. I love that the neck is adjustable because smaller kids tend to pull and this will keep them from wing pulled off the wall easy. Overall I highly recommend these! Great product 👍🏻

Difficult to mount
I wall mounted mine, not hard wired. The base has to be detached for mounting. There are two tiny little Phillips screws holding the lamp to the base. They came close to stripping out when I removed them. Then, after mounting the base to the wall using the supplied anchors, it was a real hassle getting the lamp back on because the tiny Phillips screws are on the SIDE of the base instead of the front. They are almost flush with the wall, so it took forever to get the right angle to screw them in. I highly recommend a magnetic screwdriver; otherwise, you're going to be dropping them constantly until you finally get them right.Once I finally got the lamp re-attached to the base, with the screws as tight as I could get them, it still wobbled when I adjusted the gooseneck. Not a very solid design. But the lamp does look nice and functions as it should.

wrong sized items? bad instructions?
I don't know if am an absolute idiot, but the instructions that came with this particular item doesnt show the same item. I was VERY close to giving up and just returning it. the bracket that came with it doesnt fit, and the instructions didnt help either. i had to leave it out. (The cross looking bracket is what im referring to. )i spent an hour trying to figure it out. i gave up and installed it without brackets. it holds up fine. i dont know if the bracket i received was the wrong size or what, but it DEFINITELY doesnt fit with the item. at all.I installed the base at the wall, and installed the rest after that. I used other screws that i had that didnt come with the package. you may or may not run into the same problem; given that the stuff they gave you actually goes together..with that price, i can't complain. its a cute looking lamp. it is a bit too big to my liking but i kept it anyway since i already went through the trouble.

On/Off knob will eventually fall off - plan for it and you'll be fine
So . . .I have gotten four of these for cabins in last several years. They are cheap, easy to install and I like the versitality of bend the ray of light wherever needed. The only bad part? The on/off knob has come off of all 4 of them. I've tried glueing them back on with hot glue, with gorilla glue, simple Elmer's glue. They evenutally keep coming off. I expect I need a heavy duty epoxy to really get 'em to stick back on. A bit of a pain. Just sayin' . . .

Very happy it worked out
I live in an apartment and there are some parts where it’s really dark. I bought this and I’m so happy it worked out. I actually used command strips to stick the light to the wall. And then used command cord clips to hide the cord on the side of the panel of the door. It’s sturdy and a good quality light.

Basic lamp but functional
I needed a simple lamp to place near my reading chair. This one fit the bill and was very reasonably priced. The on off switch is a bit funky. No directions as to how it is supposed to work. I figured it out eventually. You must press the switch in and then turn clockwise to turn the lamp on or off. It does not work all that smoothly and is a bit difficult for someone with arthritis in his fingers. A simple push on push off switch would be a great improvement. All in all satisfactory ,and I would note, you get what you pay for and this is no exception. It was easy to install with the included parts.

Eh...wouldn't buy them again
We're only at our current location for a temporary time so we wanted something affordable and "good enough" but these are kind of disappointing. They project enough light but they're a bit awkward as bedside lights. If you want them low enough so that you can turn them on and off from a laying down position it would be impractical as a general light source. That is, there is no switch on the wire, only on the top of the actual lamp, which is a little uncomfortable. But they're good enough!
