Beaded Jewelry (Storey Basics)

The book could be a bit bigger but it's easy to understand. I will use it for a long time.

I have been watching you tube videos to see how to knot some amethyst beads I have. I have never done this before. Most videos show how to use a knotting tool. But they fail to show how to start the first and last bead, or how to add the clasp. This book is excellent for a beginner who wants to learn how to string beads using knots between each bead. It answers numerous questions I had like how do I figure out how much or what kind of cord to use. What tools do I need, etc.

Lots of suggestions and instructions on tools, etc.; very little detail on knotting techniques. Not what I was looking for.

This is a great beginner's instructional book as well as a handy reference book on tips and techniques for the beginner or experienced. While it focuses mainly on it's intended subject, I enjoyed the small sections of pearl and historical references. JZang

Good basics reference book

Je m'attendais à un livre qui abordait les techniques de réalisation des noeuds et non la liste du matériel nécessaire... Très peu d'explications, aucune photo, bref peu d'utilité pour moi !
