If it doesn't feel like it's working, you may just need to turn the intensity up
I was a little worried about getting a defective unit when I purchased this, because there were a few reviews that indicated that it simply didn't work at all, and when I first tried it, I initially thought mine wasn't working either. However, I quickly realized that is just because, for my body, the lowest intensity level is really, really low, to the point of being negligible. I don't know how true this is but I've heard people say that the stronger your muscles are, the higher intensity pulse they will need to cause them to contract, so that may be why some people do not feel any sort of stimulation right after they turn it on, as it always defaults to that lowest initial intensity. After attaching and turning on the machine, be sure to continue to press the "on" button until you feel something and then adjust from there until you reach a level you are comfortable with. Everyone's body is different, but I personally didn't feel anything until the 3rd intensity level, and found the 6th to be ideal for me to start with-- that is to say, the 6th level provided the degree of muscle stimulation I was expecting/hoping for. Now, this isn't to say that the other reviewers' machines weren't potentially defective-- maybe they were, I don't know! I'm just throwing it out there that I could see it being really easy to mistake the product for non-functional because it defaults to the lowest intensity when turned on, as I almost did this myself. The machine comes with three gel pads already attached to it (one small one at the top/lower back area and one larger one on each of the butt cheek parts) and another replacement set of pads, which was a nice surprise as I wasn't expecting it to come with any replacement pads. Some of the other machines on Amazon are advertised as including replacement pads but at the time of my purchase they all cost significantly more, so I decided to get this machine just to try it out and see how I liked it first, then buy replacement pads later if I wanted to keep using it regularly. It's nice to have the extra pads so I'll be able to use the machine for a longer period of time before deciding if I want to buy more. So far, the pads have stayed sticky though several uses of the machine-- I just kept the plastic sheet that the machine came on and re-adhered it to protect the pads' stickiness after each use. When stuck to the sheet, the machine fits perfectly inside a gallon size ziploc bag to prevent the pads from drying out, but I also bought a tube of Spectra 360 (about $3 here on Amazon) to re-moisten/re-stick the pads with, as I've heard this can help the pads last longer before they need to be completely replaced. As I mentioned above, I found that the sixth level of intensity was best for me but you'll have to increase slowly to see what you can "take" without discomfort. The pulses don't hurt but can feel a little weird if you've never used a machine like this before, so if it feels uncomfortable for you at first just try to stick with it as you get used to it pretty quickly. It feels somewhere between a rubber band snap and a little static shock, and it causes your muscles to clench for the duration of the time that the pulse is being delivered. There are several different "programs" that deliver different patterns of pulses-- for example, there are some that deliver small, fraction of a second pulses or longer one-second pulses at a consistent rate, others that will deliver a few shorter pulses followed by one several second pulse, etc. I like the programs that are comprised of a combination of shorter and longer pulses best-- between the periodic "changing it up" factor and the strength of the longer pulse/the longer muscle contraction it feels like it's working my muscles the most.If you want to use the machine on it's own, lying on your stomach is probably the most comfortable position that will allow the machine to stay adhered without assistance, but if you are planning on using the machine while sitting down or in conjunction with a workout, you will probably need to wear something tight over it to keep it in place (spandex yoga shorts worked well for me). I didn't consider this a fault of the product at all just because the lower back/butt is a more curvy shape area where I feel like it would be hard for anything to stick while moving around like that. I found that it doesn't really work that well with exercises like squats and lunges, just because of how much of an angle it creates between where the top of the machine and the bottom flaps sit on your body-- again, I didn't consider this a negative or a fault of the machine, as it would be hard for anything that is stuck on your lower back and your butt cheeks and is not stretchy to stay put when doing these movements that essentially lengthen that distance between where the pads sit on your body. It's not impossible to do these exercises with it, but the two pads on your glutes might be forced to inch up a bit when squatting, causing the non-adhered part of the flaps to gap somewhat when you stand back up-- not the end of the world, but perhaps a little annoying. It did stay in place pretty well without moving/gapping/bunching very much for exercises where this is less of an issue, like bridges/hip raises and leg lifts.I experimented with placement a little bit and didn't notice any difference in muscle stimulation with where I placed each of the flaps on my butt-- which makes sense because regardless of where you could place them on each cheek they will still be on each of your gluteus maximus muscles-- but regardless, it doesn't seem like *where* they were placed on each muscle stimulates it more or less. However, you might also notice that one of your glutes responds more than the other side does. At first I thought this was a placement issue but after moving the pads around and not noticing a difference I did some reading about what to expect from an EMS workout and learned that this is something that happens when there is an imbalance between the strength of your muscles on each side (which can be caused by anything from poor posture to simply using one side of that set of muscles more in your workouts or regular daily activities), which EMS can help correct. All in all I'm really pleased with this purchase. I can't comment on the longevity of the device but will make sure to remember to come back and update this review as it continues to function (or if it does not). I also can't say whether it will have some of the touted effects, like a decrease in cellulite or an increase in muscle tone, as I have only just received it, but I can assert that it does what it is supposed to do in terms of its basic functionality, and I'm very pleased with it in that respect.ONE LAST NOTE: If your device is truly not working at any level of intensity, I would encourage you to contact Amazon support and let them know instead of attempting to initiate a return. I see some reviews indicating that this product is not eligible for return, and I'm not sure if that is true or not as I didn't have a reason to try and return this item, but every time I've ever received a defective product from Amazon (even from a third-party seller) and notified them about it via chat, phone, or e-mail they have always offered either a refund or replacement without requiring the defective item to be returned.

Find a different brand.
Edit: stopped working completely. I ended up getting some sort of burn from it.Mixed feelings here.Pros: I used it for 20 min every day and I do feel like it is doing something. My booty is sore the next day, feels like I did some squats the day prior. Nothing too intense though. There are a lot of setting to adjust for what you can handle.Cons- one side seems to stimulate more than the other. I have tried moving it to see if it was just placement but it’s not. The right side definitely hit stronger than the left. The sticky pads suck. I mean they are horrible. The first time it stuck. I removed it and put it right back on the plastic, when I went to use it again... no stick. So I switched pads with the ones they came with hoping it was a fluke. It was not. Same thing. It does not stick well to your skin after a single use. Almost makes it so you have to buy more sticky pads and change then every two uses. Very disappointed. About that.I don’t think I would recommend this to anyone based on the fact that I can’t even use it after the sticky runs out. Which is very quick. I was very careful taking them off not to let anything but the plastic touch them.Find a different brand.

Easy to set up
I just started using it and is very easy to set up. Just charge de device and turn it on by clicking on the “ + “, keep tapping on it until you get to the level you feel comfortable. At first it feel kind of uncomfortable because it literally feels like electric shots, it turns automatically off after 20mins and you could just turn it on again if you want to use it a little bit more. I can’t comment about any results but as soon as I see a change, I will!

Needs to be modified better to be enjoyable
It's a cool idea but needs to be produced better honestly.I wouldnt say it helped with any pain but at times it did feel a little relaxing on the right setting. The settings and power are all on the device itself. So it makes it actually very tricky to activate it while it's on your booty. Probably would of been better with an actual controller. The sticky pad isnt the best either or I just have a big booty, which I wont deny lol. I could only use this while laying down on my stomach and had to have my husband turn it on and put it on the setting I liked.Due to the inconvenience of it, I only got to use it about a week until my hubby got tired of doing it for me lol.

Terrible instructions and it didn’t work
First of all the instructions are terrible and not very helpful other than put it on you and turn it on and figure it out. Also the one I got apparently only worked on the right side and the left side was completely dead.Lesson learned- Spend the money and go for the more expensive product if you really want some thing
