I love the Emerson wave opener. It is far superior to the thumb opening of other knives. It sometimes opens when I'm just taking it out of my pocket if I forget to pull it forward slightly.I use it nearly every day on the farm, some days many times a day. I lost,(planted), my first one and bought this to replace it. I have other Spyderco knives, one heavy one light, both more expensive. This Byrd one is perfect for me. The serrated rear portion of the blade is preferable to a straight blade on the farm.

This knife is pretty sweet. The action is smooth and easy, yet secure. This facilitates the one-handed opening aspect. It feels really good in your hand. I have owned a Spyderco, and, this is right up there. Only that it's made overseas, whereas Spyderco is from Golden, CO. Price will reflect.

Great light and sturdy knife - I just found I don't like the emerson opener which is designed to catch your pocket to open. In reality it snagged my keys or half opened in my pocket. I'll be picking up another non-emerson cara cara 2. If you want something slightly smaller get a meadowlark 2 which is a fantastic smaller knife.

I love this knife. Notched to open as you pull it out of your pocket. Works well.

If you're looking to save money, and OK with buying Chinese... these Byrd knives are hard to beat! Same grade steel as Spyderco counter... it will probably need sharpening more than the Spyderco, but it is razor sharp out the box! Solid purchase and the emerson feature works great! 10/10 would buy again!

That hook feature on the blade makes for easy one hand opening.The clip is moveable and can be place at either side or end of the knife so it custom fits how you want to carry it.Noramally a knife like this is double the price.

The media could not be loaded.  -es una navaja buena de gran calidad-no es comparable con Soyderco hecha en usa, pero es buena-de anotar es que toca tener cuidado con el clip por que puede ceder con fuerza desmedida- por lo demás tiene buen filó, es segura y confiableen relación calidad precio está muy bien 👍🏽-el sistema emerson funciona perfecto y se siente robusta y bien hecha-y aunque no es pequeña tampoco es sobredimensionada es apenas para una persona con una mano grande

I really like this knife, but I was dissapointed that it's a Byrd knife, a Chinese spiderco.

El acabado en las cachas era muy deficiente, tenía muchas rebabas plásticas y se sentía muy incómodo, para el precio hay mejores opciones y con mejores aceros
