Huge Variety, 3 or 4 Per Design
Great size. 20-ish different varieties of ship, some similar to others and others very unique. Was pleasantly surprised. You get about three or four of each ship type. I got a single of one design to bring it up to the expected 72 total. As others have said they're flexible plastic, softer than green army men but a little tougher than rubber.

lots of fun little ships, semi-bendy vinyl plastic like a stiff squeaky toy
First off, since it's not clear from the images or description: there are 20 different ship shapes (though some are quite similar if still distinct enough to be different models from the same design lineage, like the various generations of USS Enterprise) and in my pack they each had at least one and no more than two of the same colour.Don't worry about the reviews talking about how soft the plastic is- you can bend the thin parts if you TRY, but under normal handling they're not going to flex enough to be a problem even painted for gaming miniatures unless your paint is no good anyway. Most are distinctive enough that you don't really need to paint them unless you just like painting miniatures, and they'll fit on normal 1"- 1/4" (25-30mm) hex or square grid gaming maps with ease. For the intended purpose of being a cheap piece of colorful plastic to keep the little ones happy, I'd say they're just about perfect - not likely to break without ectreme circumstances, not likely to leave a sharp edge if they do, and durable enough to be lost in the sandbox for a week or two without needing more than a rinse under the tap, and soft enough to not hurt too terribly if stepped on barefoot. If you ever had the little M.U.S.C.L.E. Men wrestler toys they're that kind of plastic. They are very small, so best not to give them to young'uns who still put things in their mouth (and being made in China you never know if they're REALLY as non-toxic as they claim either) but once that developmental stage is past they're fine right up until you're old enough to be BACK in diapers. I'm ordering a second pack after seeing how suited they are to be used as gaming minis/tokens.

I bought these ships for use in space miniature games. The variety is fantastic. In addition to all the ships in the picture, there are a number of other designs included as well. Most designs had 4 copies in the bag, though a couple had 3 and I think one design had 5. The design and detail are good. The downside is that as other reviewers have mentioned, these are soft rubber, which isn't ideal for miniatures use. I knew that going into it thanks to reading the reviews but it would have been nice if that was clearer in the product description.Fortunately, I was still able to make use of them. Kitbashing is much more difficult with them but it is possible. Superglue works miracles, as usual. I found that they are also quite paintable. If you paint them, I found that it is best not to prime them. For some reason, the primer didn't stick well and would just slide right off, but applying acrylic paint directly to the surface worked like a champ. I also cut up paperclips into rods and inserted one rod directly down the center (lengthwise) of each ship. This keeps them from bending a lot and ruining the paint. A little bit of epoxy putty on the bottom created a mount point for use with flight stands.Overall, these worked better than I expected for their intended purpose and I would buy them again.

Great but REALLY REALLY flexible rubber
I would buy these again.Detail on these is fine. Using them as miniatures for a space game. Look and work fine.BUT....I've felt Jello that was stiffer than these things. You can bend in half, squeeze and twist them and they'll just bounce back. Great for a 3yo to chew on.Painting these will be a chore . Acrylic paints will work as long as you don't bend, squeeze and twist them afterward. Wash them twice, dry thoroughly, and spray them. Then pick out details with a brush.

Mini-UFOs: Very Soft but Very Small
I purchased these small toys as a gimme, free souvenirs for little kids who visit our Star Trek fan table at a major Comic-Con. The individual toys are very soft and also very small. They come in a very small variety of colors and shapes and come in a half-gross not a full gross (72 instead of 144). The better grade of UFOs we prefer became available again so we'll mix these in with them.

I uses for VTol minitares in Battletech Board game.
I use 1-inch wooden bases from the craft store and little wooden clothespins that I cut and put under spaceships (I use the angled piece of clothespin). Before I paint the spaceships or put them on the bases, I put them in 91 percent isopropyl alcohol overnight. Yes, they look cheezy but you save a lot of money on buying the made-for-game miniatures.

Good value for the money
Worked for my needs. I had purchased these for an exhibition. Some individuals complained that they were too gummy, but for my needs, it was fine. I sprayed them with a pink undercoat and a clear resin topcoat for the window/storefront display. For the price, I still have half to spare. The spaceships are each the size of a quarter. Good value for the money. For those looking for something made with harder plastic, this may not be for them.

Cupcake Toppers
I washed these with dish soap and used them as cupcake toppers. They worked great.

Meh
Too small for children, too low of quality for miniature use.
