Awesome BUT BEWARE!!
I was torn about giving this 3 or 4 stars. Compared to other walking aids, I liked this one far better than the one that just holds them at armpit level-- mostly because I read all about the horror stories of little purple arms and such. This one has no such problem and my normally hesitant little girl took off almost at a run as soon as she was in the Juppy Baby. It's easy to walk them holding one strap in each hand, or you can put some muscle into it and hold both straps with one hand without any problem. The material was sturdy, the design was great and I still think we made a sound, albeit short, investment. This is the 4-star portion of the product. The 3-star portion is something people really need to be aware of though-- and what we wish the manufacturer would upgrade. The material for the harness portion is NOT stretchy...I suppose for structure purposes. But this means that if you have a kid that's a little chubbier than "average" or has chubbier legs, this either will not fit or will be a little uncomfortable. Our daughter is a little more in the 85% percentile for height & weight and it was hard to get the harness to go completely up her little torso because her legs were a little tight on the openings. Since the material doesn't stretch, that's as far up as we could go. Also, there is no way to make the sling wider or narrower on the top, so children that are chubbier or skinnier may not fit perfectly in the harness. The product says the harness is not intended for children 30 lbs. or over, but our daughter is about 24-26 lbs, and it's a tight squeeze.Other than that...we love the product. We even love the little carry bag that comes with it. We bought the black & yellow one and our little girl looks like a little bee flitting around. If there was a way to fix the harness size issue to make it more adjustable WITHOUT compromising the integrity or the resiliency, that would make this a 5-star product in my book.

Runs small but works
This was a lot smaller than I had imagined. My daughter was 18 months when I purchase this and it did not fit on her. It would not zip. It did do what it said though my daughter loved walking I like this because she felt independent. Because it was so snug on her we didn't need to zip it even though I probably don't recommend not having it zipped since it would be safer. The material was a canvas type and did not irritate her. It felt sturdy when I held the handles. It isn't a fancy-looking device but it does work. I never felt like the handles are going to break and drop her. My daughter is still not walking but that is a different issue. This gave her some moments of Independence. This is a very neat creation.

My husband has a bad back but he wanted to help our 9 month ...
My husband has a bad back but he wanted to help our 9 month old sons learn to walk without having to bend down so far. My husband is 6 ft tall so this somewhat helps him from bending his back too far but it does still require him to slightly bend his back. The Juppy did offer some relief but not entirely. It would be nice if the strap was a little bit longer. It's easy to put my son in the Juppy. It has a zippered back and velcro straps to ensure a good fit. The material appears to be sturdy and has held up well to my 20 lb baby. My sons love being in the Juppy and learning to walk in it. Overall the Juppy is a great product for shorter people.

made for a longer reach
The only reason i didn't give this contraption 5 stars is that you can't adjust the straps that you hold on to if you're a short person. The instructions say to have arms fully extended when supporting child but i my arms are pulled up on the side of my ribcage. I don't know what the purpose of the snap locks are on the back if you can't adjust them. My daughter knew right away what it was used for and didn't waste any time trying to walk. Its nice that i don't have to strain my back bending over grabbing her hands while she practice walking. The instructions are funny tho. It says " Do not drag, lift or swing baby when in the juppy" " Do not drag baby up or down the stairs" Really?? Um that would be border line child abuse. ;0/

Love this product
Love this product! When other parents saw it, they raved about how cute it was. My baby is 13 months, and still not walking steady by himself yet. This is such a help - not having to bend over or hold his arms uncomfortably high. He likes to walk fast, so I'm always afraid of injuring him. I would say this is a great item for a baby shower too. I first saw it on Ebay, but was a bit wary of buying it, because it had a no return policy. With Amazon's free return policy, I felt more comfortable getting it. Not needed! I'm keeping it and use it quite often.

Really helps them get started walking safely
What an excellent idea for a walker. I initially had the walker where my baby would sit inside and the walker had wheels so it was basically a rolling chair. The danger was that she was starting to get into trouble by bumping her head on things because she would make a dash for it and collide. This walker gives the parent and the baby exercise. Sometimes, I actually use it to support her weight when she is tired, but I try to give it suck so that I just use it to catch her if she stumbles forward. It has been great. I hope you and your baby like it as much as we have.

There is a newer comfier design for the same price
I just got this one today and I love it. My son is a special needs baby and on the smaller side so I do have to put a blanket around him so he fits a bit more snug. Of course only now (after I purchased it and came on to write a review) did the newer version pop up. I'm still very happy with this one and would give 5 stars if the width was adjustable to accommodate thinner babies.

Broken zipper within the first use.
Sadly, the zipper broke after the first use. It didn't really feel "secure" when we zipped it up on the grandson for the first time. The next day when we attempted to zip it up again, the pull part of the zipper broke off. Little pieces of metal went flying everywhere. We still tried to use it, but it really wasn't secure at all without the zipper. Unfortunately, this will be going back.
