WINNER for Walkers with Problem Feet
I have wide, flat feet that just really don't like being in sandals. My pinkie toe usually finds its way out of the top strap and gets scraped or sliced by it as I walk. I also have a formerly broken toe that healed wrong and pops out of joint if I walk barefoot or on thin soles. But I'm not an old lady (not that there's anything wrong with that!), and I still like to look good. I also categorically refuse to wear "faux leather" shoes. I returned a LOT of sandals this summer. These are the winners, hands down. Let's face it, they're not high fashion, but they're cute enough -- they don't look orthopedic, and I wear them with both skirts and pants. The straps are softer than any sandals I've ever owned, and I do a lot of brisk walking in NYC and they've never given me a lick of trouble. The insole is cushy, and the shoe has a tiny bit of lift so you don't walk like a troglodyte. There are only two drawbacks: the first is that, especially when new, the cushy insoles make a noticeable *poof* sound with every step. I've had them about a month now, and the sound is practically nonexistent, but the first day I wore them, someone in my office said, "Do you have sand in your shoe?" Didn't keep me from wearing them, though. The second is that the insole is leather rather than suede, so until the soles of your feet sweat a little, they slide around a bit on the dry leather. It's manageable, and only lasts for a few minutes in the hot weather, but I have to step carefully when I first put them on. That said, the only shoes I own that are more comfortable than these are my sneakers.

Pretty, comfortable, but the back strap isn't secure enough
These are nice looking sandals, with attractive gold strapping that goes well with black or tan. And they are very comfortable, like most Walking Cradles, with very soft leather, and sized correctly. But - the straps in back don't hold your feet in well, so the heels can slip around if you are doing anything but walking in a straight line on a level surface. The back strap around the ankle is quite short, but it also has some elastic, and even when I attached it at the tightest level (the holes in the back strap are the only adjustments possible), this still wasn't sufficient to keep my heel/ankle secure. My ankles aren't the strongest, and I could easily see myself tripping just from ordinary walking. They also make a sound many have referred to from time to time, but that wouldn't have been enough to send them back. These may work for some, particularly if you have strong ankles and are comfortable with slides/mules.

Beautiful sandals, and the metallic color is so versatile
Beautiful sandals, and the metallic color is so versatile. The straps are soft and comfortable, and the footbed feels great.BUT...the air cushions on the footbed release air when you step, which sometimes sounds like air leaking from a bike tire, and sometimes makes a farting noise, which can be really embarrassing. Also the straps need to be done up tightly to keep the sandals from slipping around as the soft straps are not super supportive.

Very Excited!! Hope they last a while! :)
I absolutely loath shoe shopping...I can't wear anything with a heel, a high arch, anything that is too big or heavy, anything without a back strap, anything that goes between my toes, must have good support for my flat feet, can't be ugly (Yes, that very much matters. I'm not that old yet, lol...I mean no offense at all to the elderly. In fact I love them. :)and they MUST stand the test of time...no sense in paying money for shoes that don't last...It is an act of congress to find a decent pair of shoes...hence the reason I hate shoe shopping. I ordered these in a 5.5 because every time I try on 6's, they are a bit too big. Bad call. I had to send them back and order the 6. They got here yesterday, and they fit like a GLOVE! So far, I absolutely love them! Only time will tell how long they will last. It's been my experience that the bigger the company is or gets, the more the quality of the shoe deteriorates. Let's hope that this is not the case with these shoes. We shall see! NOTE: Like other reviewers, I too experience the "phht, phht" sound of air when I walk, but if that is as bad as it gets WHO CARES! Thank you Walking Cradles...(So far, lol :)

Very disappointed
I need comfortable sandals for a trip to Disneyland and was taken in by the name Walking Cradles. I bought them a half-size larger in a wide width just to be on the safe side. Out of the box they seemed fine and the straps felt very soft. But then I wore them to do some errands and after an hour couldn't wait to take them off. The footbed is only lightly cushioned and felt hard after a short whiile. The arch support felt like a protrusion. The straps on the left shoe were digging into my skin. I'll keep them because I wore them, but I'll have to rely on my old FitFlops for my trip and keep looking for a back-up pair.

Straps too Loose
I have another pair of this same style in the gold and they fit perfectly. However, even though they are the same size I ordered before, these fit loose. It felt like the straps were stretched out. They did not fit snug enough even with the heel strap in the last hole, and there is no way that another hole could be made without getting into the soft part of the leather.

Love them, but.....
I love these. They're probably the most comfy sandals I've had in quite a while. Only one little (and a bit odd) problem. Apparently my right foot has a higher arch than the left and every time I walk a sound comes from the right sandal that sounds like I'm actually passing gas. LOL I'm hoping that if I put something like a Dr. Scholls gel insert in the right sandal, that will eliminate the problem. Fingers crossed. :-)

comfortable
I used these as my backup shoes for my sons wedding. I wore them for about 8 hours. They were very comfortable through out the night. They are not what you would call sexy shoes, but they were attractive enough that I didn't feel bad wearing them. The fit was perfect for me. The straps across the toes have a little give in them and felt good. The foot beds are padded and the bottom of my feet did not get sore or tired. I felt very steady on my feet while wearing them.
