My 4 year old interracial daughter going thru the book: “Mom, look! These are My people.” It’s been a struggle to help my daughter to like her hair. I am blond with straight hair so that complicated situation. The beautiful photos of beautiful girls helped my daughter to fall in love with her own hair. Thank you!! The book has changed the way my girl sees herself!

Beautiful book with excellent photos. The only thing I wish is that they could have wrapped it before putting it in the box to ship. The cover is slightly damaged.

I saw this book in the “pre order” status on amazon about 8 months ago and I thought it was a wonderful concept and I was willing to wait 8 months to receive it. Well, it did not fail to deliver in more ways than one. The book is beautiful both in its concept and it’s production. The quality of the work is impeccable and as a result I have a beautiful book where my beautiful little ebony princess (my daughter Marley) can see visions of other ebony princesses in all the beautiful splendor. This is an important book, especially in this day and age of government encouraged division. It’s a timeless piece of art that I hope will encourage others to project similar work into the ethos. I bought this book for a Christmas present for my 27 year old Down Syndrome daughter; it was so beautiful, merely stunning photos; that I decided to go on and give it to her before Christmas. She is still looking at it over and over again. She loves books, catalogs, etc. This book has the most amazing photo's and stories of phenomenal children and African American past and present heroes. I can't imagine a better gift to give a black family, child, professional or just get one for yourself. I will enjoy it! I want to let all of you that are just looking at the book's outside. I just purchased another one, because it is a book that should be on all tables in America and my daughter wouldn't give it up to let me take it to work. We now have two books and they are worth much more than the price, I assure you!! Buy this book!!

This book arrived an hour ago and I simply can't put it down. It has exceeded every expectation. Each photograph reads as an individual piece of art and the stories have left me inspired and humbled. Kahran and Regis have given a gift to our society through their creation and I could not recommend this book more. What a beautiful work of art - the turn of each and every page leaves me more and more in awe.

This book is spiritually rich! Thank you for the vision to create this book...representation matters in the arts and everywhere! I am building a library of positive black imagery books for my toddler daughter. I NEED her to know how beautiful and worthy she is from a young age. Carefully selecting books of characters and pictures that look like her. This book encapsulates all of my intentions for my child. It is 243 pages of professional photos of young black children of all hues dressed in the finest garments and jewelry paying homage to our African ancestry. I am so proud of this work of art and what it will mean for the upcoming generations. It brought tears to my eyes as I turned the pages and saw black children from all over the world represented in this book in such a rich and royal fashion. Truly magical . Truly Glorious!

This wasn't what I expected when I ordered the book but it is totally stunning. (I thought there would be pictures of adults too.) A very, very beautiful book that I can show my daughter.

Beautiful Wasn’t what I was expecting, beautiful to show my 8 year old.The packing of the book was disappointing . With such a beautiful cover there was not protective packaging or wrap. The book was dented in parts, damaged around the edges, was dusty and came with finger prints all over it. Very disappointing

Brilliant vibrant book with so many wonderful pictures. Originally bought for myself. However, once my granddaughter flicked through I saw her face light up, I had to give it to he so I will have to reorder for my coffee table

What a beautiful book! My five year old keeps asking to look at the magical images and my 11 year old loves the stories associated with the photos. A little pricy but well worth the spend as it's a hardback book.
