Strange and amazing stuff for dry-sanding water-based finishes
This is about the most unusual sanding solution (can't really call it sand paper) I've tried, and it is strangely wonderful. I use this to dry-sand water-based finishes (General High-Performance Finish) on guitars. Somehow, it cuts way faster than the equivalent grit of sandpaper, but leaves a fine finish without stray scratches or swirls. The sheets are extremely flexible, so really need to be used with the supplied pads and sanding block, but this really helps to avoid any deep scratches that can occur from the edges of sheets of ordinary sandpaper. It's expensive, but worth it just for the reduced hassles, and seems to last a long time.

Buy this now!
The media could not be loaded. I've seen people talking about Eagle Abrasive Super Assilex for a while now and always thought it was too expensive. I got a gift card and decided to try it out. OH MY LORD. This is the only sandpaper I will ever use ever again. This stuff is amazing and one half sheet will last you longer than a 10 pack of Home Depot sandpaper. Just blow it off and keep sanding. Amazing stuff!

Worth every penny
This stuff is amazing. I used to wet sand my topcoat finishes on woodworking projects using automotive sandpaper before doing the final buff out. This stuff is so much easier. No corning at all, and no water required. Better results, faster, easier. I no longer dread that step in the process.

Fantastic Product
I had no great success flattening clear finish on guitar bodies and necks until I tried this product at the recommendation of Chris Monk of Highline Guitars YouTube fame. These are worth every penny.

This what abrasives should be.
Made my job so much easier. I am thinking of giving all my sandpaper away.

Worth every penny in just the time it saves you.
I hate prep work bc it sucks.Using this system and their Buflex series that has the 2000, 2500, 3000, has made sanding the car to prep for paint and clear coat, almost fun. It was definitely a joy using them for the after paint, clear coat correction. I would recommend to anyone who would listen to me. This is a great product if you like to do projects or any work you need a nice finish on.The price might scare ppl but after wasting so much time using everything else. How much do you value your time? Glad I finally bought them and wish I had done it sooner. They also inspire me to do more projects bc they help take the suck factor out of the prep work.

Good even sanding.
Works really good on the water based clear coat I'm using. Doesn't load up very easily. The sanding pads are good. Leaves a very ever surface. The only thing that keeps this from 5 stars is that it doesn't seem to last long before it gets dull.

Wow! It's amazing!
"I just had fun level sanding clear coat on a guitar", said no one ever... until this morning. My first experience was using K600 grit to level sand the clear coat on two hardbody electric guitars and the sanding sealer on another. It was, in a way, a religious experience; I kept saying "Holy S%^&" and "Holy C%$^" because it worked so well.If you hate sanding (and who doesn't) but have to do it, Super Assilex will make it a much better experience. It's expensive, but there's SO much less effort and time required. It may be quite durable, too; the half-sheet of K600 grit that I used handled all three guitars and looks like it is just warming up.
