Asion Double Edge Safety Razor

The product seems to be made of chrome plated copper alloy, rather than "Stainless Steel" as claimed. It already showed signs of wear upon arrival (exposing the copper). From my experience these cheap alloy razors last up to several years and then break.The design is quite good but I feel a bit mislead about the materials/quality, so am returning it.

This is a great razor for the price. This is the first safety razor that I have owned. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking to get into wet shaving.

I purchased the Asion Double Edge Safety Razor because something about it struck my interest. It had an older/retro look about it which I liked. But mostly because my husband has been complaining about the other razors I buy for him. So, I decided to try something different. My husband hadn't shaved in about a week. (I meant to take a "before picture of his face, but he shaved before I got home from work). His face was quite prickly. He almost had an extremely short beard, but when I came home yesterday his face was nice and smooth!I asked him what he thought about this new razor and he said "the handle is shorter than I am used to." I asked what else he thought about it. He said he felt as though he should be more careful shaving with the Asion Double Edge Safety Razor than with a regular store bought razor that he was used to, but he liked it. (He clearly is not a man of many words).I have taken a couple pictures to show the size and the details of the razor. As you can see, This razor is metal and comes with its own case. There is a mirror on the inside of the case, for just in case! The razor from end to end is just shy of 4 inches and the handle is textured to help with the grip. Also included is a picture of my husbands smooth face to show that the Asion Double Edge Safety Razor will do its job.Not shown is that the blade actually comes separated from the razor, you must insert the razor yourself.I was given this product at a DISCOUNTED rate in exchange for my HONEST & UNBIASED opinion.

I am tired of using the disposable razors from Walmart.The Asion razor comes in a nice little travel case with a mirror. They even included a blade.It is heavier than your standard disposable razor BUT this isn't a standard razor. You can feel that it is of high quality and has a short handle.Looks great on my bathroom counter for every day use or I can take it with me on my next trip.I managed not to cut myself.This will make a great gift for any man.I am happy with my purchase.I was given this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

For most of my life I used a safety razor. They stopped carrying the blades in my local stores so I switched to the more "modern" razors. I am so tired of throwing out expensive blades that are still sharp but clouged up. I bought this to "pre-shave" and still use a multiple blade razor to "finish" my shave. The razor I got dose not hold the blade perfectly centered. There is more blade exposed on one side then the other. It is also lighter then I had hoped. I happen to like a heavy razor.All that said, it shaves OK. I have not nicked my self and the only "problem" is irritation along the jaw line. The shave I get is just fine and frankly I don't need to "finish" with multi blade razor. I may try a different razor if I find one that has the "twist open" feature and is a bit heaver, but for now this works just fine. I understand it will take other (better) heads but I don't know if I'm all then into screwing with that.Update: I'm kind of a cheapskate, so If they give me free blades I use them. Well for about 40 years I used Wilkinson Sword blades and I ordered some for this razor. With the good blades (as opposed to the free blades) the alignment issue is gone. Shave quality is even better and I "remembered" that you should use short strokes with a safety razor. End result is I am now very happy with this razor, but I did order a Twist to open butterfly razor to try as well. Funny thing is I was in a pawn shop and they had a twist to open old Gillette razor like I used for 40 years there for $30. I think I payed $1.79 plus 3% sales tax for mine. Wish I had kept it. Anyway, this is a good buy, just throw the free blades out and start with some quality blades right from the start

The main reason I bought this razor was to shave my head. It shaved alright for the most part, but in some areas in didn't shave as well as it did with a GEM razor that I've also been testing out. I would have a go over the areas that the razor couldn't shave more than 3 times while my GEM razor only needed 2 (with the grain and then against the grain). As for shaving my face, it did an pretty good job. That's why it gets 3 stars.

Does not give a close shave. Very disappointed. Would never order again. Way too expensive.
