Item Package Quantity:6  |  Size:6in. Aluminum MFM Peel & Seal is the original, patented self-stick roll roofing. Peel & Seal roll roofing is 33ft. 6in. long and is ideal for roofs and surfaces that are difficult to waterproof and can be used on many surfaces including: metal roofs, mobile homes, RVs or trailers, and sunroofs. MFM Peel & Seal can also be used as flashing around ducts, vents, chimneys, air conditioning units, or even on gutters. MFM Peel & Seal is made of aluminum composite foil, polymer films, and a rubberized asphalt adhesive back, making it flexible and self-adhering. Peel & Seal roll roofing will not tear, crack or dry out over time. It is designed specifically to reflect heat and resist water and exposure to other elements without any additional coverage needed. Peel and Seal can be installed on an EPDM roof, but you must prime it with either WeatherBond Multi Purpose Primer or Mule Hide Tape Primer. This self-adhering rolled roofing is very simple to install. Simply make sure your surface is clean, smooth, dry and free of any loose debris. Be sure to prime your surface with an asphalt primer before applying Peel & Seal, especially on surfaces made of plywood, OSB, composition board, and masonry. After the roof is prepped, you will simply peel off the release paper on the back of your peel and seal, and roll it out onto your surface, using a hand roller to smooth out any creases. Finally, use a sharp knife to cut off the desired length. 36in. Wide Rolls have 3in. lines on each side. No special tools needed. High wind tolerance. Made in the U.S.A. Also Tested to Meet ASTM D 1970 Requirements.

OUTSTANDING
Peel & seal is very easy to work with, can be cut with a utility knife to the size you need. It sticks to just about anything that you need it to. I applied it to my entire mobile home roof with very little effort, I have a older metal flat roof mobile home and it had sprung leaks over the years. and decided to put a new roof on. some of the estimates for a new roof were between $5,000.00 & $8,000.00. I did the math! For just under $2,000.00 I did it myself, over time when I could, weather permitting and without breaking the bank. total time was about a month. I have had no leaks since and believe me living in Northern NEW ENGLAND we get a lot of rain. I recommend peel and seal to anyone who has a flat metal roof on their mobile home or any flat roof. At 63 yrs old, if I can do it so can you.

Excellent Product, but ...
I used this product on a series of small flat roofs that I built to protect condensers and a grill. Applying it to a complex shape takes some skill. One can easily get it all tangled up in itself and everything around it if one does not know the right technique for applying it. Basically, cut it to fit, lay it down, peel back the paper protecting the gooey side from a far corner to pin it down, then, keeping the product as flat and in place as possible, slowly pull the paper on an angle off the product. Pull in small sections and use a roller to iron out wrinkles as you go. Note that once applied, the product is aluminum, not white. I doubt that this product would stand up to rough treatment like falling branches, but one can walk on it once or twice while applying it to a larger area.

Waterproof and Reflective
I have used this product on a couple projects and am very impressed so far. Most recently I used it to seal the roof of a shipping container that I am using as a waste storage building. The roof had rusted and was leaking in several areas. I first tried elastomeric roof paint, which helped but did not fix all the problems. Peel and seal to the rescue! It went on easy, stuck down well, no more leaks.Previously I used it on a flat roof addition to my home. The rooms below were warmer than the rest of the house as there is no attic space, only 6" joists. The existing roof was basically black tar paper. I applied the Peel and Seal to hopefully extend the life of the roof, but also for it's reflective value-to make the rooms below cooler in our South Florida heat. It definitely helped with dropping the temperature inside, and I also feel more comfortable walking around on the roof.I would strongly recommend wearing leather gloves while installing, as the edges can be quite sharp.

Great product
I had a really bad leakages on my PVC patio shed roof , we installed product a month ago and so far so good , is a little tricky to install specially like my case when you can't step on the roof , plan in advance before you remove protector paper , once it stick , it will stick for good.

Love it!
I sealed my goat barn roof with this fantastic product. The roof had a very slight slant and in Florida during the heavy rain, roofs just don't hold up. This product sealed every square inch of the roof with no leaks. Durable and also very pretty. I am a older woman and it was easy for me to do this job by myself! Great product!

Very cost-efficient sound insulation
Couldn't bring myself to pay the price for Dynamat and other name-brand "acoustic insulation" products. Did my research and bought this product. Very glad I did. I've used it to insulate the doors and tailgate area on my 2002 Z28 - BIG difference. Works fantastic. Yes, it's very sticky but it's not impossible to lift IF you don't accidentally let a large part of it get stuck on to the wrong area. Best to work with smaller pieces than large to avoid this. Also ordered the MR05028 EVERHARD Silicone Seam Roller 5" that was recommended on another review for this product to roll it out. There was some off-gassing for the first week after I installed it, but not after. Nothing that can't air out with the windows down.

Unconventional use
I used this in an unconventional way. I needed an underlayment under vinyl tiles in the driver's area of my RV, I was careful to butt the joints and not overlap, and the self-stick tiles do lay nicely on it. This product cuts easily, and while it can be re-positioned in the first few minutes. it sticks fairly permanently after that, so don't plan on the ability to change your mind a few days later. I like that it lowers the noise level in the front of the RV.

Roof Repaired
Peel and Seal is about the thickness of asphalt shingles, and the material is rubber inside and aluminum outside. I used it to repair holes on the roof of my old van. It can be cut with a regular scissor, and after peeling, it sticks well on metal surfaces. I highly recommend this product.
