Whitetail Institute Winter-Greens Deer Food Plot Seed for Fall Planting - Annual Brassica Blend to Attract and Hold Deer in The Early and Late Season - Very Cold and Drought Tolerant

One down.
This feed came up and grew like gangbusters this fall. It actually grew better in the acres that were not tilled. Deer were eating it like candy all fall. Then we got twenty inches of snow. It'll be interesting to see if they did for it.

Great Foodplot
This stuff is great. Germination rate was great and this stuff is so good the deer are already eating it up it before the frost has come to turn the leaves sweet. I recommend planting more than planned because the deer will eat this up. Still three weeks to season opening and I’m worried they might eat it all up before then!

Planted by scattering over ground that was light scratched and it grew well
I have property that was timbered 10 years ago and allowed to grow into scrub brush until June of this summer when I had a forestry mulcher come in to mulch all the scrub. The ground had never been planted and it decently good soil but a lot of rocks in it as well. I scratched through it lightly with a tiller but not deep at all. Scattered the seed and it grew wonderfully. I think my deer will be happy with the results.

Grew fast
Good stuff I planted it late November in PA and it came up.

Awesome Plot Seed!
This stuff is amazing! In 72 hours it was up good and growing fast. I thought I may have planted too deep by tracking it in with my series 1 John Deere Tractor after tilling but it has done great. Would definitely buy again without hesitation! I can keep track of its progress with my cell game camera.

Obvious difference. Good stuff.
Have planted brassicas for deer before, and the deer seemed to like them ok once the weather gets cold. A friend who hunts near me told me that his deer hit this stuff hard a lot earlier, so I tried it. He was right! The deer hammered it a LOT harder even during the first part of hunting season before cold weather. I took photos with a cage staked down in the plot in early October. The plants inside the cage where the deer can't eat them are almost a foot tall, and less than half that outside it. It didn't produce as many bulbs as turnips, but they produced enough for winter. I will buy this again.

Fast germination
Put this in a micro plot in NOVA and it sprouted within 24 hrs. Soil was moist from recent rains and it rained the day after I spread the seed. Very impressed with the quick germination. Time will tell if it takes and brings in the deer.

Drop this stuff anywhere
Dropped this stuff the end of the 2nd week of September in a forest in the UP, on natural ground (no tilling). Just checked today & the clover is growing thick on my foodplot. Can't wait for the next gun season.
