As above, unscrew,don't lever.
Does exactly what it needs to. Instructions slightly misleading for my blender. Tool holds shafts still to enable you to unscrew old unit, don't need to lever, comes off twisting clockwise,opposite to normal screw direction.

Great piece of kit!
Great piece of kit saved me from having to replace a very expensive blender, the original fitted one was fiddly to remove but fitting this replacement was a doddle!

Get what you pay for
There are cheaper versions of the Kitchen Aid blender coupler + spanner on line, but the reviews weren't promising so I went for this one. It worked perfectly & if & when it goes wrong in the future I have a spare in hand. Worth buying.
