Sioux Chief 696-2313XF Washing Machine Outlet Ox Box- With 1/2 Inch Pex Crimp Connections-With Hammer Arrestors

I was surprised at the quality of this outlet box given the price. The valves are heavy duty and a very easy 1/4 pull on/off ball valve design. The plastic boxes come siamesed together but can be wiggled apart (which I have done). I am mounting the boxes about a foot apart. Additional accessories if you're straddling a 2x4. The boxes are a little flexible so you'll want to frame it in. I've done that and they are solid. The trim piece friction fits into the box after sheetrock is up. Overall, a great product.

This box has a really good finished look and multiple mounting options that made installing it a breeze. Made out of better plastic than the ones they sell at home depot. The pex crimps were particularly easy to install.

This unit met every expectation with the exception of one. I mounted the unit with the included wall stud mounting kit. However, when securing the box to the stud, I used a long screw through the diagonal tabs of the box. This deformed the box slightly. I tried removing the screw and attaching a bit looser, but I had the same result. Perhaps if there were nails included this would not have happened. With the trim on, you cannot notice it unless you look VERY hard.

I got this at a great price so very happy with that. This was my first PEX fixture I’ve installed and I’ll never go back to sweating copper unless absolutely required. I have not put them to full service yet but don’t see any reason for concern.Only negative note I have is that the spigots are not held very secure in the plastic box. I added braces and straps to stiffen my install and that worked just fine. Maybe that is what the manufacturer intended but I’ve used other similar products that were much more secure in the box without additional bracing.

I have really come to rely on the Sioux brand for being consistently high in quality and the ease of its installation. This recent house I'm doing is a combination of new copper and pex and Sioux always seems to be current in its applications. Best of all, it's made right here in the USA. You can't beat that for quality.

Easy install. Good quality. It did arrive missing one nut that holds the hot water valve in place - a trip to the local H...D... had what I needed, this was easier than a return.
