Well designed and made EDC knife
The Harnds Wolverine is a Sandvik flip knife with a sculpted G10 handle, and a full flat grind polished blade. After taking several days to play with the one I've bought and evaluate I've concluded that it's got many strengths and no obvious weaknesses for a knife at it's price point, making it a pretty strong value in my book.To go into more detail for people who want to read further than that; It's Sandvik, which is fine knife steel in any grade and this (14C28N) happens to be the best grade of Sandvik, which makes it arguably the best budget steel for most kinds of pocket knife in my book - say, a little better than 440C, not quite as good as 154CM. It takes and keeps a razor edge and the blade geometry makes it an excellent slicing knife. And the blade flips very nicely and locks up with a measured *schkk* tone. The frame lock bar gets well out there against the tang during lockup, but doesn't seem to be too heavy on the detent when you're deploying or closing the blade. Nicely balanced. It has outstanding handfeel. Harnds seems to pay a lot of attention to that part of knife design and that's always nice to see. There's some jimping on the thumb ramp and more on the flipper tab and there's a milled backspacer as well. Meanwhile the G10 has a rounded surface with scooping along the bottom and near the flip tab, all of which also contribute to the excellence of the knife: it feels very good in the hand, slim but strong. Harnds usually have good handfeel, and this one does too. The handle sort of resembles the Jaguar logo -- work that stylized seldom feels quite as nice in the hand as it looks to the eye, so it's pretty impressive that they kept that for this knife, which represents a stylistic upgrade for the company in my book. The clip is tight but has flex. It's broken in over a few days and now goes right onto the pocket. The lanyard hole was large enough to accommodate ungutted 550 paracord, which means it's easy to work with. Are there any drawbacks? Not really. The blade collects thumbprints, so if that really bothers you go for something with more of a stonewash finish. If I really wanted to be nitpicky I'd say that the knife has a nice Harnds logo pivot with a blue collar no less, and it's got 'HARNDS' on the clip, so it might not also need a big 'HARNDS' on one side of the blade. Less is more if you ask me. But I get it, they're rolling out impressive new hardware and want people to know who's making it.

Excellent for the price.
I've been a knife enthusiast for a few decades now, and I'm consistently impressed with the quality of Chinese budget options that have become available in the last 2-3 years. The Harnds Wolverine is no exception! The knife came hair splitting sharp from the factory, smooth action, no blade play in either direction, early lock up is good, as is the fit and finish. The G-10 handle scales are nicely contoured and the overall ergonomics are excellent for average sized hands. If you're unfamiliar with different knife steels, 14c28n is a good mid-range performance stainless steel, and an excellent option for a budget knife. The color on the scales are a bit more muted than what the pictures on my phone look like. Instead of a bright crimson, the red is more of a burnt orange, but that's not an issue for me, just something I thought customers may want to be aware of.The original price was $38.99 but I purchased on sale for $27.99. Definitely a great bargin at that price!

Very high value folder!
Great feeling in hand with contoured G-10 handles. Perfect blade centering with no play either direction. Crisp, snappy opening with a perfect detent. Has a very good budget stainless - especially nice if you've OD'd on D2 recently. I've purchased other more expensive knives recently, but none have given me the satisfaction of this one - just what you hope to get with a value folder, but seldom do. Only one suggestion: If the blade logo has to be there, reduce the size and, better yet, move it to the tang.

Great except for the clip.
I really like this knife. The shape fits my hand and the size is perfect. It is well made and the flipper works well. But the clip is so stiff it is very difficult to pull it out of my pocket. I wonder what they were thinking. I may just remove the clip and simply drop it in my pocket like we used to do in the old days.

NOT 1428N
The handle shape G10 are all good but the knife is not safe. The knife I have the liner lock grind wasn't done correct. The blade looks like it has paint brush marks but it's the low grade steel showing after they grinded it. I have a 5cr knife that has same issue. I would send it back if I didn't pay 20$ cost me more in gas to drop it off.

Action is hard to open
It appears to have a flip open stud on top. But, the action is so tight that I can barely open it with two thumbs. I tried oiling it, didn’t help. I don’t have the proper tool to loosen the action. I like the design, and it feels good in your hand, but it’s a two hand opener.

Very Satisfied
This is a quality knife. Yea its from China and there were only 8 reviews but the materials used to make this knife and the design lead me to take a chance. Opened it up and first thing is the handle is alot nicer than I expected. The function is super! Smooth and solid. Flips open land locks as good as any knife I've seen. The clip was not overlooked either, solid and performs great. This knife slices a full sheet of paper with one hand. For 37 bucks get it!
