Great Geometric Coloring Book W/ A Large Variety in Sized Graphics
The media could not be loaded. Check 1:40-2:00 for a clip of all the pages in the book.Pros:Great Variety of DesignsFull Page ImagesNot PixilatedThe different Sizes Allows me to Use several MediansCons:Repeated DesignsI have several Adult Coloring Books. I love being able to play around with color and blending and these books allow me to get out my creativity. I tried several medians on this book and I am very impressed with some of the designs I was able to make. Some of the designs are repeated in different scales but I don't mind because I am able to use marker on some and gel pen on others depending on which median I would rather play around with.I love the ideas that others have come up with because I specifically thought about how you could cut these pages out and modge podge them onto others items to give them a bit of a fun flair.I wanted to talk about using different medians on this book.COLORED PENCIL→ 48 Pack I used ($36) http://amzn.to/1M1HwbC→ 24 Pack ($20) http://amzn.to/1hi3jyY→ 12 Pack ($1) http://amzn.to/1hi3mLd→ Blender Pencil ($5) http://amzn.to/1M1HEI9→ Blender Marker MUST HAVE ($6) http://amzn.to/1Vx8uIWAbove are listed some of the items I used or alternatives if you are on a budget.I love Prismacolor pencils and there is really no alternative. This pencil is the best for blending like you see me do. I use the blender marker a lot with my pencils because I love the look of it.Pencils are one of the ideal medians of most coloring books so I would really recommend them. Most medium sized detailed work works well with colored pencil. Some prints may get to small for colored pencils so it's great to have a secondary choice as well.Personally I love colored pencil the most because you do not have to worry about bleeding or warping.MARKER→ Prismacolor Markers I Used http://amzn.to/1hi3Cd7 & http://amzn.to/1Vx8VTtI love that I can use marker on some of the bigger size prints here. Marker tends to bleed a lot so I keep quite a few pages under it to be safe. The marker actually blends quite well on this paper and I was a little surprised because other books can really make marker look horrendous and really show the streaks of the line.WATERCOLOR→ Prismacolor http://amzn.to/1FORgEZI actually really love how watercolor comes out on the larger designs here. Obviously watercolor is not meant to be used on this paper and you have to use extremely light amounts of water but the finished look can be really awesome! I do a little bit of design and will put a plain sheet of paper above and below the page I worked on and close the book to help keep the warping down. Prismacolor is the best to work with here because it is so pigmented. Also you will want to use the larger scale images for these designs.DRAWING PENS & GEL PENS→ http://amzn.to/1hi3Y3s→ http://amzn.to/1hi3YQXThese are ideal to use on the really detailed pages. They are very precise and have great color but you will not want to use them on large designs. I will occasionally use these for outlines and small details on larger scale pages.I hope this review helps. I really do enjoy this book for the patterns. If you have any recommendations or comments or even questions please feel free to comments below. Thanks!~Krista

Love the patterns, miss the margins and perforation...
I received this adult coloring book today and wanted to go on write out my first impressions and experiences for anyone interested in purchasing this style of creative outlet. The cover art is beautiful, very vibrant and fun, a fitting precursor to the following geometrically-themed pages, all of which are based on repetitive patterns of geometric shapes, some more intricate than others. It has 60 pages of black and white imagery, ready for the colorist to fill in, and the variety of patterns throughout the book keep it interesting.Once I began to color my first selected page (I used colored pencils), I noticed that the image had no margins, which some people may enjoy, but for me personally, it was kind of a bother. Color has to go all the way to the edges to complete the image, so I had to color off the page in a way, and since I was using colored pencils, it pushes the edges of the page down a little bit--can obviously be straightened back out, but does weaken the edge. Margins would really put a stop to this problem, and I know nearly all of my other coloring books have them, so I don't think it's just a me-thing as a preference. Also, these pages are not perforated, so the image goes into the seam of the book (see pictures), making it extremely difficult to color to the inside edge since there kind of isn't one there. It also made it impossible not to color on the back of the opposite page when trying to get into the crease/seam of the book to cover the pattern with color, but for some, again, this will be no big deal. Additionally, since there are no perforations, if you want to remove a page to color, paint, share, or display, you will have to rip or cut it out and hope for the best in preserving the pattern and the book itself. Some perforation in future printing might be a worthy consideration.Obviously margins and perforation are concerns for nerds like me and probably not a thing to anyone who just uses these books for kicks and doesn't care, so take that bit of info as you do and let's move on.The last page in this book says it was made in the USA, printed in Kentucky, and had a print date of September 17, 2015, which is the day I ordered it, so I guess this coloring book was hot off the presses--I feel kind of honored to be one of the first to color it, in that case, unless my order simply inspired a new print run, which is still kind of cool. All in all, I appreciate the creative work that has gone into this book, and I look forward to adding it to my repertoire of adult coloring books, which I currently use for relaxation therapy and as a way to connect with my kids (they color in their books, I color in mine--it works!). It's a neat book and the designs are really fun; I'd recommend it for anyone just getting into grown-up coloring books or anyone who appreciates simple geometric designs.

I really enjoy colouring, I find it really relaxing
This is the second adult colouring book I have bought.I really enjoy colouring, I find it really relaxing. The patterns within this book are varied and suit all moods. The pages are thick with nothing on the reverse side, which means you can use felt pens without worrying about spoiling the patterns on the back. The lines are clear and bold, which makes it easier to colour within the lines!I will look out for the next book in the series.
