Great Pump I have tried many other 12 volt pumps but this one is by far the best!
Its been four very hard years, this thing has taken a lot of abuse, including spraying wetable vineyard sprays. ... the rest is my first review...At 5.5GPM this pump is a monster. If your spray requires constant mixing this is your best bet. At 5.5GPM the bypass creates a great recirculation rate, keeping the contents in the tank well mixed for consistent spray applications. Durability ... I have several NorthStar pumps, other than a clean rinse after each use I have done no other maintenance. I have a 6A vineyard which requires weekly spraying and am on my fourth season and no pump failure. I only bought this one as a backup as the sprayer has become an invaluable tool and I cannot afford to be without it. In the meantime it is sitting in my basement with my 12V Car Jump/Booster battery as sump a backup. At 5.5GPM that pushes 330GPH through a 5/8 garden hose.

It works great for what I need it for.
Very good pump for the money. I looked around locally but couldn’t get anything for the same price or even close enough. I am very happy with it and just want to see how long it’s going to last before I have to replace or repair it

Works great, 2+ GPM at 40+ PSI
I bought this to replace the stock 2.1GPM pump on my tow sprayer. I wanted a higher flow pump so I could move a little faster. With this pump, I'm able to flow 2 GPM at 40 PSI, which to old pump could not do. For refernece, I'm using a 40 gallon tank with a 7ft boom and 5 AIXR red nozzles.

Northern Tool Brand is garbage
Bought the pump mid Dec, installed mid Jan, ran 5 secs and stopped, fuse not blown, pressure switch not made. NorthernTool, will not replace it, even though it was inside the return-by date. I recommend not buying anything from Northern Tool, there are any number of other vendors that stand behind their products, and care about taking care of their customers.

12V, 60 psi On-Demand pump
This pump was purchased to water newly planted trees and to spray weed killer on the yard. The pressure is great! It pumps at or better than the pressure from my house garden hose. Two Boomless Spray nozzles rated at 2 gpm were connected and it is perfect. I've only run this for about a month, but I'm very happy with the operation and value of this pump.

but they're pretty expensive when you buy one that works with chemicals
I looked around for a pump to put on a 55 gal. Tractor spray rig. The rig is made to use a PTO pump, but they're pretty expensive when you buy one that works with chemicals. Anyway, after looking around the only one I could find locally was, or seemed a little to small and the price was about the same as the North star pump, so I went with this pump. Looking the pump over it seems to be well made, comes with a little quick disconnect fitting, but you will have to furnish the female part to connect to it, or either they left it off. The part can be found almost anywhere I picked mine up at auto zone. After about 10 trips to Tractor Supply to get the plumbing parts I needed I got the pump installed. It seems to be a good product only time will tell. It pumps up 60 PSI according to my gage, has plenty of pressure and I think it will pump the 5 gal. Per minute its supposed to. I haven't got around to checking that yet. I used 1/2 inch supply line but reduced to 3/8 inch on the output side be caused the rig I have was already setup that way. I'm satisfied with the pump even though I'm not getting the distance I would like on the hand held sprayer. I think that problem is with the sprayer that I bought and not the pump. I would buy this pump again as of now. Like I said above only time will tell.

Does not work.
Stopped working after 3 minutes. Worked great for just a few minutes then went to a drip. The line was clean and I have tried in many times since. Now it works for about 3 seconds then slows to a drip. The pump keeps pumping and the electricity is stable, just no pressure. Had water in the pump when I opened it?
