A Classic Norton Edition
Some reviews mentioned the paper is too thin and it makes the text hard to read. I don’t find this to be true. Others have said that the book is too thick and heavy, hard to handle. I’ve been able to read it in bed and on a plane without trouble. It’s a little heavy, but that’s a fair trade off for having all the works in one place. Some have complained about the order. Works are sequenced by date written instead of alphabetical or by genre. I find this chronological order very interesting to put the works in context of each other and of the writer’s career. The packaging is strikingly designed: sober red slip case over bright red cloth bound book and a dust jacket with a striking etching of Shakespeare. Useful intros to each play. Footnotes genuinely aid in understanding. It’s a fine book, and I’m so happy to have it around.

Yes, the pages are thin, but the rest is thick
The commentary is solid and accessible. The pages are thin and hard to read in certain lighting. Overall, solid copy, I understood the limitations of a massive book like this before purchasing -- great replacement for an aging copy of the Riverside Shakespeare.

A great edition of Shakespeare's collected works
A great edition of Shakespeare's collected works. It's a humongous and weighty book but one of the few purchases that I truly treasure. As a Shakespeare skeptical when I first bought it, I am transformed and a lover of Shakespeare now (although my university professor might have something to do with that). I am sure I will always be drawn back to this edition later down the years of my life.Highly recommend this wonderful edition!

The pages are super thin so highlighter and pen bleed through them easily
If you're looking for everything Shakespeare, look no further. The book weighs about as much as a chubby toddler and it's awful to carry in a book bag when you have to walk a mile to get to your class, but it has everything you need inside. The pages are super thin so highlighter and pen bleed through them easily. Also the book cover of good old Shakespeare's face is great for hiding around your room to scare your roommate.

Good Buy
I bought this item for my fiance because she loves Shakespeare (she's an English major) and has wanted this edition for quite a while since she saw it at Barnes & Noble. The good thing is that it is much cheaper here on Amazon, and it is the exact same edition that she saw at Barnes and Noble. She loved it.

Great
Well...there’s not much to say but it has all of Shakespeare and I enjoy reading it. I just wish it could be broken up because the book is horrendously heavy.

THE BARD AT HIS BEST!
Unlike other excellent modern editions of the Complete Works, such as the Pelican and the New Oxford, this Norton edition places the glosses not at the bottom of the page, but in the margins vis-a vis the verses they refer to. No need to bob up and down in search of meaning for difficult, strange, hard to understand words. Moreover, there are annotations at the bottom of the page to clarifying the meaning of the verses in greater depth, based on the Bard's cultural background and context. A must for readers, students and performers!

Melhor coletânea sobre Shakespeare
Sem sombra de dúvida, esta é a melhor coletânea das obras de Shakespeare comentada. Para quem tem um inglês avançado, vale a pena. Recomendo!

Mighty Shakespearean Tome
This massive slip-cased volume comprising nearly 3500 thin pages is a seemingly bottomless "treasure pit", with the potential for endless exploration. Certainly 5-star content, with glosses and excellent supporting material, but physically handling the volume needs care. Access to the electronic material has not been attempted as yet. Overall, an incredible work for the Shakespearean enthusiast.
