Beckett Baseball Card Price Guide 2020

I bought the Beckett Baseball Card Price Guide a few years ago, and I decided to get a newer copy to update my values and price some more recent cards I have. Good luck finding anything. I don't remember the last Guide being so confusing to use. It's sort of arranged by year and brand, unless it's a subset of a different line, etc. I realize that some sets won't be included, but at this point, I don't know whether some of my sets aren't included or I just haven't found them in the listings yet. Super confusing, and I'm regretting my purchase. I know they push people to subscribe to their online price guide, which I refuse to do (I just need a benchmark for pricing, not "live" values), and making their print products hard to use will likely make some people make the switch. Coupled with the "every set is included" lie of their Hockey Card Price Guide, I'm planning on staying far away from Beckett's Guides in the future.

I haven't had a Beckett yearly for many years, so I was excited to get this. But I was shocked on how incomplete it was as I was going to use it as a checklist for the different sets. Beckett should do a extensive review on how they decide this book. What a embarrassment.

I bought last years price guide (for the first time) for my husband for his birthday & he loved it. He was happy to see I bought him this years copy for his birthday. I used to buy him the magazine subscription (I believe it was a monthly subscription) but it didn’t have the older card prices, so he said it wasn’t something he wanted. I will continue to buy this yearly.

This guide excludes a number of card sets of recent years. I contacted Beckett and their response was that some cards are not active enough in the marketplace to be included. They are covered in the on-line price guide which requires a paid subscription. Had I known that these sets were not included, I would not have purchased the guide.

A very good book!!! If you need to find a hard baseball card, it's in there!!!! Great service!!!!!!

I like these yearly Beckett books to use as a quick reference to get an idea of the value. They do not cover everything (still no Fleet Ultra 😔) but it covers most of the heavy hitters, no pun intended. If you want real up to date prices, sold listings on eBay gives you a better idea of what the true market is. Be warned, every time I purchase these on Amazon, they are ALWAYS shipped in a bubble mailer with little to no protection. I’ve yet to have one come not damaged in some form.

This is not the Becket from my childhood. It was missing so many brands and they wanted me to buy a subscription to get the rest.

Great price guide. Only thing is that it doesn’t have all the cards listed in the price guide.
