Q: Can I keep it running 24 hours ?

I have left it running 24/7 for about 2 weeks and it is doing OK. Not sure how long I can do that but it is very cold in that back bathroom, which is why I bought it. Love it so far.

Q: has anyone used this toilet seat warmer? does it work? do they last?

I ordered this product because we, too, have a cold half bath. I had a "Toastie Tush" before which only lasted one winter and cost $50. I installed this product as instructed and plugged it in. I set the temperature dial at about 50%. It didn't seem to heat up much at all, so I turned it up all the way. That made a considerable difference, enough that it seemed to heat up the whole bathroom and was actually a little too warm on my tush. I turned it down some, but the next thing that happened was that the breaker popped, shutting off power to a whole bank of receptacles in more than just the half bath. I unplugged the unit. After adjusting the items plugged into that bank of recepts, I decided to plug the seat heater in again. It didn't work at all, leading me to believe that it had overheated initially and was now worthless. Since I only received it with the last 2 weeks, I trust Amazon will refund it, since I see the product is now no longer available.
