The Origin & Decline of Female Body Building

Bitter Betty
i was hoping to learn more about the origin and decline of bodybuilding as the title says. I knew a lot of it would be about Kellie but did not know she would write so much about what a jerk Schwarzenegger was. The book would have been much better had MS Everts been more objective and had included more of the truth about female bodybuilding and less about how important she was. IMO she needs to get over herself.

SHE TOLD IT LIKE IT IS
She explains clearly how female body building came about, through her promotion, originally, and then it took off. This is properly portrayed. She DOES NOT unduly dwell on Arnold, he was just there and he's famous, so she gave the story. And she describes the end of female body building when Joe Weider sold his business to A.M.I. and the person who ran the company DID NOT WANT TO PROMOTE MUSCULAR FEMALES. It was relegated to the "sideshow" it once was, only this time, muscular sideshow instead of bimbos. She does a good job - many great chapters here, worth reading. The pictures are gorgeous, showing Kellie through the years, from the beginning with lots of nudes. You can see her way back when, at the age of 20, doing the weight routine. It was an important part of her life and she brought it to the world. The world was changed by it, women were changed, you can never take back what she did.
