As a vet tech for eight years, and a veterinarian for many more- these are the clippers we’ve had at every hospital I’ve ever worked at, and the ones I keep at home. I use them for dogs, cats, birds... When I worked the Iditarod Race in Alaska and forgot them at home- these were the ones I bought from Amazon to have them with me. Just really great quality and get the job done.

These used to be the best of the best. I've bought about 6 pairs in the last 6 months and they constantly loosen and then they don't clip the nail they crush it and without over tightening, I can't find a way to fix it. I shouldn't have to, these last two pairs I went through in two months. I wish the quality was what it used to be, I'd use the same pair for over a year without even needing to sharpen them!

I was told by my daughter in law who is a dog groomer that these are the best nail clippers for large dogs, but I don't see a difference between the ones I was using and these. These are sturdy, easy to clean and sharp. Nothing extraordinary though.

Theses are very sturdy, and a very good value. They are strong and extra sharp without crushing the nail. They have no guide to stop you from cutting to deep which I needed because my dog's nails curl under and are extra thick which a guide will not let you into. I am old and forget a month and her nails grow fast.

Best dog nail clipper I ever tried and I tried a lot. Can slice thinly. Quiet. Painless. Don’t not startle my dogs. I can make a quick clean cut.

Super sturdy, well made and cut large breed dog’s nails easily. Have bought several nail clippers over the years and this is the best. Our dog’s trainer told us about them or we wouldn’t have known to look for them online. Best nail trimmers we have ever bought.

The best in my opinion. No guard to get in the way and the handle is easy to grip. If you are a professional or have been a professional that guard is nothing but a hazard. I love this one.

Very sturdy but not as sharp as I expected for the price. I have a Saint Bernard and he has very thick nails that tend to split if the clippers aren't sharp enough and these did okay, but I'm really hoping that these can be sharpened.

The Clippers put a lot of pressure on the dogs nail to the point of distressing the dog. No better than other cheap dog clippers. I sent them back.
