This suit is like wearing chainmail- it’s heavy. It’s also sized weird- I am 5’4 and average build, slightly on the chubby side. The legs are very long, and the torso is very short, which is not an issue until I have to bend over. This suit IS nice if there is wind, but most beekeepers do not work their bees on windy days so it’s a moot point- I still sweat heavily in this suit. I wouldn’t mind those minors issues, except for the fact that the elastic in the sleeve cuff snapped after using this suit for only two months. I have purchased other items from FBS in the past and have never had an issue with quality or craftsmanship until now. I will continue to use the suit because it is outside of the return policy, but giving three stars due to quality.EDIT: Updated to 5 stars because of Forest Beekeeping Supply’s phenomenal customer service. I had to order a new veil because the screen ripped in the wash (don’t be dumb like me and wash the veil) and unbeknownst to me, I ordered the incorrect veil. The company reached out to me and asked if I would prefer the correct matching veil and shipped it to me for no extra cost, which means they went out of their way to notice my purchase history and ensure I received the correct product. I was very impressed by this.Additionally, I have tried other brands of jackets over the years and I have to say that the quality of FBS is far superior, and will be my go-to brand for beekeeping PPE from now on.

It is short in the stride for the medium. I originally bought the large because I am 5’8 and 205lbs. The large was about a foot too long in the legs and the straddle hung down about a foot below my crotch. So I returned it for the medium. Now the length in the legs was fine but the stride is short as the torso longer. It fits fine but if I bend down I have to be careful not to split the crotch. The waist is fine but the sleeves are a bit long as well.It is ventilated but can get hot in the sun anyway.

Suit feels like it would work and be well ventilated. When I tried on Large size found it too small for me. I am 6'.1" and measure 35 inches from top of shoulder to crotch; Large suit was difficult to get over shoulders and gave me a wedgie. Pant length was ok. With shoes on I measure 35 inches from floor to crotch.Better sizing diagram would be helpful. Most common thing you do when bee keeping is bend over and lift items. Having a suite that fits too tight is not optimal for many reasons. Arm holes / shoulder room was constricted for me but would probably be ok for shorter person. Construction and materials seem solid. Putting on suit was easy as both legs have quality zippers that go to mid thigh. Double velcro covering the zipper connection points is well laid out. If I was 5'.9 to 5'.10 suit would be fine. 5'11 and above it will most likely be too small depending on your trunk to leg proportion.

I received the 3x Bee suit. I was skeptical about the size, but it was perfect.The suit has a front zipper and opens with zippers down each leg on the outer side.This is ingenious because you are not stepping on the suit. The suit is a mesh which allows it to breath and not get soaked if you are in the rain. it is heavy and much larger than the average Suit that I am used too, but They hit it out of the park with the quality and design of this Bee suit.I highly recommend it.

The sizing in ad is so confusing I almost passed this suit up. I took a wild guess and the 2XL fit just fine. I am 6'2" and weigh 177. If you have a beer belly it would be snug.I havent faced off with the bees yet, but rhe design and details make it look bee proof.

Suit is very hot

Heavy suit, but protects against stings. More breathable than traditional cotton suits. Overall good suit for beekeeping.
