Update: This massager broke a couple of months ago. The balls still turn, but makes a horrible grinding noise and stop moving with any pressure. I've tried to email the company to ask about the warranty, but my emails are returned undeliverable. I did just order another one because I liked it so much. I originally gave this product 5 stars, but had to reduce it because I could not reach the seller.I have chronic upper back and neck tension, often times leading to headaches. This little thing REALLY exceeded my expectations. I've tried many of different brands and types of massagers and have a membership with a massage therapist. This little thing is a power house that has helped release all the knots that even my massage therapist has trouble with. Highly recommend.

5/9/17. I purchased one of these units in Dec. 2015 and have used it every day. The price back then was fair at $59 which I though was fair and now I see it is only $29 which is a great price. At any rate, I started having problems with the unit a few months ago and finally the gears kept slipping on one side to where it wasn't any good. I contacted the company regarding the lifetime guarantee and amazingly I got a new one today. All I had to provide obviously was my original order number. It took a few weeks but I am very happy getting a new one and as I said in my original review I really like the product. This is a well made unit and I surely don't fault it for breaking down after 15 months of daily usage. So I would definitely keep the 5 star rating I gave it for the product and for the Lifestyle company also!!I am writing this review with some reservations, not because of the product but with the short time I have actually used it. I say that because I have bought two other shiatsu massagers already and none has made it through a month. The last one was the Sonic Comfort Shoulder unit that cost 6 times more than this and lasted 3 whole times stopped working and the company wanted me to pay postage to send back for repair with only 3 uses! Check out my review of that unit! Now this unit is not as beefy as the others I have tried and does not deep massage quite as well as it is a lighter weight and construction. It only cost a fraction of the others also! I have only had it 3 weeks or so and use it every day and it has worked perfectly so far. I can only hope it keeps working as it is a tremendous help to me as I use it on both my lumbar area and on my cervical area. I have had several surgeries and quite frankly can't afford professional Therapeutic Masseurs or PT clinics 3 X a week! This is purported to have a LIFETIME warranty which is hard to believe as on the literature in the box it was shipped in indicates it is only one year but I noticed that the company responded to that exact question here on Amazon and said the insert was incorrect and it did have a lifetime warranty which is amazing and which I might be using it since I use the massager so much and just may have to take I advantage of the lifetime warranty. At any rate, I will update this if I have any problems and how the company responds but I will say that I got two messages from the company thanking me for the purchase and then another one touting the company and their products and I felt with that type of great personal service from any company I should write this review earlier than I normally would. We need our small companies to survive and if they put out quality products they should be rewarded with full credit. SO bottom line is this appears to me to be very good unit for the price and if you have problems as I do and really need muscle massage to lead a normal life then this might be just the thing for you. Due to it's size and weight it can also easily be taken when traveling. I will update if necessary but for now 5 stars from me!

I have had many massagers. The homedics chair massager and also their pillow version somewhat like this one. They were OK...the chair massager was difficult to place...the pillow massager eventually broke. I also tried the BS neck and shoulder massager but sent it back because all the functions would not work on it. Then I tried the Zylon neck shoulder massager...it smelled really bad and was very clunky and after a year and a half the right side died on it...I would not get that one again. I also bought the breo neck massager...which is really very good but just for the neck and you have to charge it frequently...but it is the best thing so far for the neck. I don't know how long it will work.This massager however is very easy to move around to where you need it (not so easy on the neck area). The massage balls stick out quite a bit so it really can dig in. I like a very deep massage and you can get that from this massager. I like that I can use it in the car although I haven't yet. The quality is better than most of the devices out there. I use it forever and it doesn't over heat.I don't know how easy it is to get the lifetime guarantee if needed..the brochure that came with it says one year, but at Amazon it's suppose to be good forever. Also I'm not sure how to contact them. Having said that, if this thing finks out on me...as long as it isn't very soon I would buy it again over other massagers. It combined with the breo I can get the massage closest to my husbands hands to really get the sore spots.

So far so good. Didn't want to spend too much until I knew if I would like this or not, & to date I'm enjoying it. The heat is enough for me, & I like that it turns off after 20 mins so I can pace myself. I only wish the elastic strap was longer, as didn't fit on my office chair, but I was able to improvise with some long velcro straps. I really hope it lasts a long time, & if it does, will get 5 stars. So far I would recommend this one.

I couldn't wait to test it out.At the time when i bought this i was working in an office sitting at a desk and needed it to put on my chair to alleviate the consistent shoulder pain i get every day sitting at my desk.It looked very sleek and yet it is lightweight so doesn't cause a strain while holding or moving it.Very simple functionality, press once to turn it on while the heat setting warms up, another press to turn off the heat and a long press to shut it off.The tension and pain was an important factor for choosing the device.{and price as well}The heat itself takes a few minutes to really warm up and it isn't hot but it does give off a very warm and soothing heat which compliments the massage.Whenever I feel like it i can control the intensity by lightly or firmly pressing back on it.Overall I would recommend it highly.It's not actually a pillow this is a hard plastic item and has some rather hard contents on the inside and would not recommend laying on it.Prop it up on a chair or something to keep it stable.It does have a strap to wrap around the back of a small chair like say a kitchen chair but not much wider than that.
