Great Device
Great product, however I have noticed that when my husband is carrying the baby in the carseat (me with the keys), he is able to get way farther than 15 feet (more like 20 yards) before it goes off. Maybe because we're outside, and the monitor is designed to cut signal after 15 ft. when blocked by being inside? Moral of the story- if you want to test its range, before you attach the fob to your keys, have someone sit it the car with the baby (car on, of course) while you hold the fob and walk away.

So disappointing
I ordered this item in spite of the poor reviews hoping I would be the exception since there are not very many items on the market like this. I activated the unit following the instructions. (poorly written instructions) and it "activated" like it said it would, red light blinking on the buckle but with in exactly 100 seconds the unit on the seat began beeping and lighting up green meaning it needed to sync to a key unit. Pressing the sync button on the key unit made it stop and act "activated" again for exactly 100 seconds again. It never stayed synced beyond that. I uninstalled and reinstalled the batteries, I re "synchronized" , nothing worked. I called the 1800 # listed on the instructions -ridiculous- it is just a voicemail recording stating they have "high call volume". Tried their website, no troubleshooting, nothing. Also the unit is very cheaply made. :( returning, will order again to hopefully get a working unit, but I definitely do not trust this company or its products. I plan to use a back up alarm when using this if the new unit even works until a better option comes along.************Actually i wont be reordering after looking into the reviews more. There is only 1 five star review from an actual verified purchase, the rest are all unverified and from around the same time as well. Every verified purchase complains of the same defects. I would never use this companies products, so wrong to make defective baby safety equipment and allow parents to have a false sense of security knowing your product doesn't work!

Great when it works
It's great when it works, but it sometimes won't stop beeping when I'm driving. I'll push the button to stop it, and then it'll start again.

May as well buy a device that beeps constantly...
What a shame. A great idea, but simply too many false alarms. The device does work. If you move away more than 15 feet for more than 8 seconds, it beeps pretty loudly and persistently. Even better, when you close the transmitter (the buckle), it will beep until you click the button on the receiver, to make sure you don't forget to activate it. I was specifically worried about forgetting to activate the receiver, so it was a HUGE relief to discover that feature. Then comes the unfortunate part. As a number of other reviewers have said, it gives false alarms. A LOT of them. I mean frequently, it just beeps constantly. And I mean... CONSTANTLY. I don't mind a brief beep here and there. Even a series of beeps every so often. I thought I would be able to deal with the false alarms, because it's worth it, right? I mean, I can deal with the seat belt chime going for an hour, so I'm not that picky. But this is intolerable. The worst part is, then it starts to distract you from driving. When you stop the car to get out, you're so incensed at the darn thing, you might even walk away from the car furiously pressing the button to shut it up, possibly making you forget everything else, including the very reason you bought the freaking thing! (The baby in the car...) Really, it's quite possible, because when it beeps, even unbuckling the transmitter won't shut it up of course. Your brain will quickly become conditioned that the beeping doesn't actually mean anything, it's not a reminder anymore, just an annoyance, and a further distraction.I just don't get it, I really don't. Make it a little less sensitive! Design it so you can walk 100 feet from the car before it beeps! Make it wait 30 seconds before it beeps! It's a backup device; on the off chance that someday you actually forget you have your precious passenger, then if you walk 100 feet away for 30 seconds, he/she will still be ok. Meanwhile, the current configuration makes the device useless. Completely and utterly useless. Definitely returning it. Too bad there's not a single competing device. Yet.

It works as designed, although it will randomly alarm ...
It works as designed, although it will randomly alarm even when the fob is closer than 15 feet away from the buckle. This includes in the car while I am driving, and sometimes when I have my keys in one hand and the baby seat in the other. Sometimes it loses signal and restarts its activation, but that's not too bothersome as it only takes a press of the button on the fob to finish the activation. Overall, I am confidant it serves its purpose, even if it does have a few hiccups.

To bulky to be comfortable in the pocket of men's
Gave this as a gift for my grandson. Wish I would have bought it when he was younger. I don't care if you say you would never leave your child in the car. Only thing I would change is making the key alarm smaller. To bulky to be comfortable in the pocket of men's pants

Don't bother
This does not work. The alert on keychain does not stop beeping even after you take baby out of car seat! Sending it back.

Great idea . . . needs some work.
Loved it while it worked . . . such a great idea . . . but they really need to do something about all the extra beeping! Wish it worked better.
