Just ok
I'm kind of over these books. They keep getting shorter and shorter (but the price doesn't reflect the fact that this book was half the length of some of the others). There were also a lot of things that I think the author intended to develop but never really focused on, such as her mother's reaction to her dating Lee.I'm not sure if I will read the remainder or not. I'm definitely going to take a break from them.

Love the Colemans!
The latest installment in Vivian Arend’s Six Pack Ranch series brings us Lee Coleman, part of the Moonshine Colemans of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. It’s a novella, a change from the past books in the series which were full-length. It still gives us all the heat and fun that the other books in the series are best known for.Lee Coleman is in love and in deep. The problem is the girl is married and ten years older than his twenty-four years. Lee perseveres and six months later, Rachel is divorced from her cheating husband and hurting and Lee might just be the medicine she needs if she’ll let him in.The story deals with a number of issues including adultery, mental abuse, self-worth and age discrimination. Vivian Arend tackles these issues well and with great compassion. Like his Coleman cousins and brothers, Lee knows how to make a woman happy and learns a bit about himself along the way.The plot is well executed and fresh with great supporting characters especially Lee’s brother Trevor, the unknowing facilitator of the relationship. While part of a series, it is a stand-alone and can be read without reading the other books. But I do recommend reading all the Six Pack Ranch books for the entire story of this great family dynasty. The first book in the series, ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAT is free as of this post date at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Sizzling heat during a snow storm!
Things heat up during a white-out!!Lee Coleman gets a second chance at love when a winter storm leaves him stranded and he ends up at a rustic cabin looking for shelter. He finds the woman of his dreams at that cabin and ends up snowed in with her.Rachel Malone is seeking some alone time to heal from heartbreak when she discovers her ex has been cheating on her. That alone time will heat up when she ends of snowed in with sexy, sweet-talking Lee Coleman. Maybe a rebound fling is something she needs and will enjoy.Even though it's obvious that there is a sizzling chemistry between them Lee makes it clear he wants more than a temporary fling. He just has to convince Rachel that love can be a lasting possibility.

Snooze Fest 😴😴😴
The book description sounded good but the actual book was pretty boring.I started skimming at around 50 percent read. I felt like nothing was really happening, the story just drug a long.Rachel was cheated on by her husband Gary & for most of the book she still seems hung up on him, his cheating.Lee was a decent character but I had no idea what he actually seen in Rachel. She was a pretty boring, stick in the mud type character.

Just Something Satisfying
I really like Ms. Arend. Doesn't mean I've liked all her books, though. Pleased to say, this one was good. It's an easy read, good characters, good dialogue, and well-paced.My couple off complaints was not finishing off the "something wasn't quite right at home," thoughts that Rachel had when she was home for Christmas. Why mention it, why write that scene if there wasn't supposed to be something there? I mean, her mother left the room when she heard she was dating Lee. Finish it.The second issue I had was at Trader's. Connect the dots for Lee and Rachel. Why did Hatch do a solid for Gary? Why was Gary's comments, both on phone and at the table, cut off, interrupted? That makes this reader want to know what he was trying to say. It's an author's tactic to cause suspense. And it did. Was Gary simply going to attempt to coax Rachel back, make excuses for his behavior, or tell her something important? I felt Ms. Arend choose the wrong way too insert Gary into the story. Regardless, it needed closure.Otherwise, I enjoyed the series. I'm on to #9.

Stranded
I loved the story and all of the characters. I loved how patient Lee was with Rachael, especially since her marriage hadn't ended all that long ago. I also loved Lee's family, but not so much with Rachael's. They just seemed a bit too cold and uncaring. But...I could have done with less sex and more story line. I also thought that the pace was a bit too little slow.

Trapped during a white-out!
What do you do while in at a remote cabin with the one man who makes you feel safe? Rachel and Lee know each other since they live in the same small town in Alberta, Canada. Lee felled in love with Rachel 9 months ago but didn't let his feelings be known. Now they are trapped during a white-out and he vows to keep it platonic. Ms. Arend writes a steamy story that will keep you turning the pages just to see if they survive the white-out and to see if the heat between them blossoms into something special.

Snowstorms
I am definitely living vicariously in these books. I would never live in a place where it is below zero and I am stuck in a cabin in a snowstorm even if it is with a hot hunk. Rachel has just divorced from a 6 month whirlwind marriage after her husband cheated on her more than once. Meanwhile Lee has been in love with her for before she married and now is stuck in a cabin with her. He had asked her out many times, but at 33 she thought at 24 he was to young for her. He set out to prove her wrong.

Rocky mountain retreat
I loved this book. Rachel was badly treated by her husband, but Lee certainly made it to her. She is really lucky to be part of the amazing Coleman family

Love this one too!
Another fabulous read! Couldn't put it down! I just think it's brilliant how there are so many different characters, all unique and all connected through the family and the town. Marvellous! 😁
