ASICS Men's Gel-Kayano 25 Running Shoe

This was the last year of this version of the stability / anti pronation support , and I like it better than the newer models.

One of the few running/walking shoes that feature a close fitting heel cup, high arch support and dynamic cushioning.

Asics Gel-Kayano looks great and is the only brand/product that I comfortably can say fit my feet perfectly every time and and let me run without any of my feet start aching. Technically Asics Gel-Kayano is a great running shoe, fits the feet well, gives great support to your feet when running and the "gel" technology protects the knees! Most other shoes from other vendors gives me problems one way or another when running.The only drawback with Asics Gel-Kayano in general (though not with this pair yet) - which to me is an annoying and unnecessary issue but has been consistent over the last five-six years years and my approximately 15th pairs of Asics - is that each Asics Gel-Kayano pair does not look good for long. After relative short period of time (frequently only a month in of using them) a hole will start appearing in the upper part of the shoe covering your toes (hole in the mesh toe cap). I wish Asics would recognize and correct this flaw because the hole in the toe cap look bad in an otherwise almost new shoe (and people who don't have Asics frequently ask what has happened) but it is the same issue every time and has happened to all my previous pairs over the years but it has never happened to any other brand I have used. I have pointed out this issue (flaw) directly to Asics but the refer to warranty and I did send one pair once that I got replaced and they only lasted one month again before it was a new hole in one of shoes again. I had shoes replaced twice but who has time to continuously send the shoes in for warranty replacement only to get a new pair with the same issue? However, even with the holes the shoes can be used (and the only one that I feel comfortable with) but this issue is annoying and the shoes look bad almost immediately (see photo of my previous pair - not the latest).In short the Asics Gel-Kayano is a great running shoe that fits your feet well, providing excellent stability and support for your feet and they are a savior for your knees but don't expect them to look good or last for long.

Felt comfortable :)I used it as all purpose shoe - walking (paved and un-paved), jogging, tennis. Heavy use - lasted 6-7 months

Ran 5 pairs of Kayano 22 before switching to the 25 series. I also have pairs of Brooks I rotate in. I have about 200 miles on the shoe. These met my expectations for the Kayano. Much more stability without being truck like. Definitely feel like I have a solid platform under my foot - very stable. A bit heavy but I use them for longer slow runs, not speed work so it’s fine. Only complaint is they seem to get wetter / more sweaty in the humid Carolina summer than the 22 so they smell more and the logos inside the shoes have worn away. With 200 miles the bottoms are wearing well but the plastic guidance bar is really chewed up which I’ve never encountered before. Just an observation. The indigo are a bit more flashy and have more light blue than the picture so it was a bit shocking but I’m fine with it now. My Kayano 22s would get me 300-350 miles before replacement and I think these will go at least that long based on their condition now. Durable, stable shoe, a bit heavy but no issues other than that.

What a great fit. I have flatter feet and am right on the border of D and EE (for width). Most times D is just a touch too narrow but a EE is too wide even for thicker socks. This is the first time trying the Kayano and I didnt expect them to be any different. I was wrong. A perfect fit. The little bit extra in the toe box is an added bonus. The cushioning caught me by surprise. I knew it felt good, but until I put on my older shoes I didn’t realize just how much. As for the looks.....I didnt want to go dark and am not usually a fan of white color. However, the mix of colors with the white looks very sharp.Now with all this said, I have only walked in them. I have yet to run, but I am now sure they will work well.I may order a second pair just for running indoor while the other can be an all around show. Sure they are not cheap, but many times you need to pay more for what is best for you.

I have worn every Asics Kayano shoe since the Kayano 14 or 15. 10 Generations of this shoe and some have been better than others. I can relate these to the Kayano 19 the most. The heel cups and is so comfy. These are back to their former glory with size. There was a season or 2 there around Kayano 23 that the size was changed about half a size and they messed with it. It had me changing my running/walking shoes to Brooks. I hated it. I wear a size 16 and there is no going up half a size so this was a big deal for me. I wear these for every day life walking, running, office wear. They feel so good. The only thing I don't like which I didn't take a star away because i'm not a psychopath and I have no control over is color. I would have liked these in another color besides white at a size 16 but comfort is more important than color. Will buy again. I hope they never change anything about this shoe ever again.

Ho comprato queste Asics per sostituire le mie care Kayano Gel 21 nella corsa. Continuo a comprare Asics Kayano Gel perchè sono adatte a me, che soffro di pronatura al piede. La scarpa è comoda, e nella corsa ammortizza molto bene la falcata. Sono adatte anche a camminate lunghe, dopo un pomeriggio il piede non ha risentito. Per le taglie: io porto un 42-43 ma per queste scarpe ho preso un 45. La scarpa è comoda, e c'è circa un dito dalla punta; questo rende la scarpa adatta a correre in comodità , sopratutto in estate, che il piede tende a dilatarsi per il calore.A livello di costruzione: la scarpa è molto traspirante, tanto che con una leggera brezza sentirete il piede un po' arieggiato, ma questo è un bene, o il piede scoppierebbe dal caldo. Nella parte del tallone, vi è una struttura rigida che mantiene il piede nella giusta posizione durante la corsa, per evitare storte assai dolorose. Il tallone è molto ammortizzato, grazie alla suola con inserto in gel. Per la manutenzione basta semplicemente un panno umido in microfibra e con una passata sono come nuove. Le consiglio vivamente, costano un pochino, ma la spesa è ampiamente ripagata nel tempo data l'alta qualità.

I'm using the same model of Asics since July 2018. The first one was purchased from showroom for the printed MRP of 13K.Was glad to see it on Amazon for 60 pc cost and with little apprehensions, placed the order.The product received is Made in China. The one month usage wear and tear is more than normal, as can be seen in the picture. To compare, I've also put a two year used pair as well.So, overall cost benefit analysis makes the purchase just about ok and not too great.Of course, being made in China, next purchase of this Japanese brand would be subjected to non Chinese manufacturing.

Ok this is asics gel kayano series it is 25th model of the shoes as it is new york merathon edition it fits very well little snug in toebox and have sturdy and fixed mod for pronator. I am neutral but it works good for me as a rotation shoes. It takes few k.m. for breaking and showing that flytefoam and gel cushion to open but after 40 to 50 km. It works as butter underfoot.
