Makes the best coffee! With a swan neck kettle you can really dial in the brewing temp because you can lay the end of the swan right on top of the grounds. When you pour water from a higher distance you can lose 5-10 degrees from the water coming in contact with the air. Not so here as long as you have the right equipment. Just saturate the grounds nice & slow, you don't want to agitate the bed or over-extraction can occur (this is another negative from pouring water from high distance.) Like a good wine you can brew coffee that gives you a "long finish" as it goes down the throat.

Pour slowly & continuously when you start brewing!
Buying another pack today! It is an excellent product for what it is to be used for. Don't try to brew a pot of coffee, this is best for a single cup. When you are away from home/ coffee shops, take the Kalita filter + your favorite fresh ground coffee. All you need is boiled water, and you will be enjoying a great cup of coffee anywhere. Note: When you start pouring water into the coffee, do not stop the stream of water - pour slowly.

OK design, some flaws
generally delivers what it promises, a single-use pour-over coffee filter. But the chamber is kind of small and requires refilling several times to get one full cup of coffee, each time risking overflow. Since I like coffee strong, I fill the chamber halfway up and it gets clogged. The best way to use would be to use less coffee, but then you would get a weaker cup. If might be easier to just bring along a melita filter and some paper filters for it if you want coffee away from home.

Exactly What I Needed
This is perfect for what I need it for. It's small so it wouldn't work for my daily pour over. However, for camping, it's perfect. I grind 13 grams of beans for an 8 ounce cup of coffee. I just take my time with it and it will knock the socks off any other coffee at the campground.

These are great to take along on trip and use in the hotel room so I don't have to take along the whole pour over system.

Four Stars
Very cool. Even if I have to use 2 for a larger cup, these are great for travel.

This works - but barely.
It's a good concept, but way too small. It will only hold a few grams of coffee, and when full will hold very little water. So, your pour over is going to require pouring over, and over, and over. Even then it's not a satisfactory brew as the water flows through too quickly. I might be able to improve extraction time by grinding much finer than I usually do, but I don't think I'd like the resulting brew. I'm not going to bother taking these when travelling, will just toss them out and write it off.

Too small for a good pourover
Gave these a shot on a trip. Love the idea, but just way too tiny for a reasonable pourover experience. With any amount of bloom, there's just no room for much water at a time, so the brew takes forever.
