You'll need an electrician to install, but great quality.
I got an electrician to come and install the plug, and they were impressed by its build quality. I've been using it for a week with my PHEV and I've had no problems. The only minor annoyance is that the catch closing the plug is a bit stiff, possibly owing to the thickness of the charging cables.

Good product but is not lockable
Bought this to go outside however although it saw locking holes on cover there are no holes in body, so it is not lockable is a little disappointed

Sealing latch difficult to open.
Easy to install and charges car ok, but latch doesn’t lend it self to frequent use. Sometimes I have to use a cloth to reduce the pain from opening.

It’s electrifying
Fitted this to the garage wall and is perfect for my PHEV as it doesn’t require a “fast charger”. I plug it in and its fully charged overnight on cheep off peak electricity ready for the morning commute.Perfect!

Perfect for small car charger
For a small Seat Mii electric we are getting by using this. I installed it and it was connected up and certified by an electrician. Was easy to install and is lasting well after 8 months of use.

Good value product
Easy to install.Reasonable quality, the catch on the cover is tight and the plastic may weaken/split over time (specially if there are hard frosts).Overall good product and price point.

Not a DIY install; use a registered electrician.
This is a good budget EV charger for those who are able, and satisfied, to trickle charge their EV using a Mode 213A "granny charger" cable. It must be connected on its own circuit with a suitable MCB in the consumer unit (not as a spur and not on a ring main). Installing a new circuit (which this charger requires) is a notifiable installation under Part P of the Building Regulations. That notification can be done by a registered electrician, or a property owner can apply to (and pay) their local authority for approval. It is not a DIY install.

Very cost affective
For my purposes this unit is fine. My lease car takes 2 1/4 hours to charge on 7.3 kw system but the 2.3 kw master plug socket takes 4 1/2 hours to charge. However I installed it myself for less than £100 including fitting a surge protection unit. The 7.3 kw socket has to be fitted by a professional with a cost in excess of £1000. For me a no brainer........there is only one negative that I have found and that is the locking catch is very difficult to operate and I get the feeling it’s going to break off.
