🔥 Weld Your Way to Perfection!
The US Forge Welding Solid Mild Steel MIG Wire .030 2-Pound Spool #00662 is engineered for both single and multiple pass welding, making it an excellent choice for a variety of applications including sheet metal work and lightweight structural steel fabrication. This wire requires a shielding gas for optimal performance and is particularly effective for low carbon mild steel, making it perfect for body panel repairs, fences, and yard tools.

Great running wire
Top quality mig wire at half to 1/3 price. Runs smoothly leaves great welds. Have compared many. This is the ONLY wire I run now!

Broken spool
Many other reviews reported that the school was cracked on arrival and so was mine. I should be able to use it anyway but I just thought I'd give everyone a heads up

No snags
Used this with a 220 Volt welder and argon mix gas. Ran the whole spool out before I noticed how much I was welding (6 hours) over the course of a weekend changing out 3 cross members on my truck and putting in hangers

Really Great Stuff - Great for TIG!
If you're TIG welding thin steel sheet it's expensive to buy small diameter wire. I was TIG welding 20gauge mild steel and bought this at a fraction of the cost of buying straight wire. It worked very well. As long as you break off the scale on the steel by brisk wire-brushing you can tack and weld easily with this wire... just gotta hustle along to avoid blowing holes. TIP: to make micro-tacks use about double the amperage you'd use to weld for the tacks (just over 50 amps for 20gauge). Get real close (1/16th inch) with a very pointy electrode and stomp the pedal for a count of two and you'll be left with nice tiny tacks with no warping and good penetration. Lay the wire in the joint or cut tiny pieces placed in the butt joint. Hit right on top of the wire and you'll get a really nice micro-tack.

Brocken plastic spool
The media could not be loaded. There is no filler material inside the cuboard box. As result, brocken the plastic spool edge from transportation. i figure i try to use it.

Doesn't stick, spool was wound too tight
Wire was not wound properly on spool, too tight. Wire did not stick properly when welding. I've used primarily Hobart wire in the past and thought I'd give this brand a try.. never again. Total waste of money.
