I have been a die hard CS fan since "Hints" came out; each album gets progressively better and better. With the opening track "Welcome Home Again", you know Ed and company mean business. I have a hard time getting the whistle intro to "Fuzzy" out of my head the remainder of the day once I play it (even my four year old will hum it on and off). In my opinion, there is not a skippy song in the bunch, and I do not have a lot of albums I can say that about. This is my second favorite album of theirs next to "Disciplined Breakdown". If you can, get the bonus track edition. It has mellow versions of "She Does" and "Staring Down", plus an addtional track called "Heart to Heart". This is truly a return to their rock roots after experimenting with a different sound on past albums.

コレクティブ・ソウル、久し振りの日本盤登場！7年前かな、ベスト盤で一区切りつけた後は、「Youth」「Afterwards」といった2作はインディーズからのリリースが続いたので、これは復活？って感じかも。だけど、そのインディーズからの2作も、充実した内容だったので、決して停滞していたわけじゃないんだけどね。　で、今作だけど、「偉大なるワン・パターン」は健在。というか、いつも通りの“コレクティブ・ソウル節”が満載の充実作。そう、重た〜いリフと、メロディアスな楽曲という、相反する要素が違和感なく同居する世界。いいですよ、やはり。そして、彼らがギター中心のロック・バンドであることを再認識させてくれる、骨太なロックがズラリ満載！デビュー2作目でも自らのバンド名を冠したアルバムを出していたけど、今作から第2章の幕開け、って感じだね。
