I am new to knifemaking so I purchased these to get me started. I have hammered out two knives from railroad spikes and have no issues with the set so far. They are comfortable in the hand and work great for my purposes.

I’ve used these everyday for about 2 1/2 years. I’m a fleet tech. The hammers have not broken, cracked or given me problems. The heads are strong and have kept shape even after literally beating things all day.

So far I have been pleased with this set of hammers. The impact from the strike does not bother your hands at all making hammering an easier chore throughout the day. Anyone that uses hammers on a daily basis understand what I'm talking about.

Very sturdy and well worth the cost

I bought these primarily as a budget starter set for blacksmithing. When they arrived, the faces of each hammer, and both faces of maul, had had noticable deformations, and a relatively hard angle around the edge of the face grinds. This isn't a problem for 99% of the things you would do with these kinds of hammers, but it makes for poor results when trying to shape hot steel.I dressed the faces of my set to smooth the edge grinds and even out the finish deformations from the factory. I used an angle grinder with an 80 grit lapped wheel, and it worked beautifully.But other than that, these are very comfortable to use, and I have been swinging them all day for the last couple of months. Still a great purchase for the price.

these are good hammers for a beginner blacksmith (like me) they are a bit heavy but worth it.
