Simple but effective
It works! Simple to install, program and operate. Replaces an Orbit controller that was complex to program. Minimal feature set. I initially miswired the valves due to my failure to read the pictorial correctly and failure to notice the numbers engraved on the case. Note to Asante - numbers on case are hard to read! The tech support was prompt in helping me solve the problem. I was looking for a simple to operate irrigation controller that could be controlled from an iPhone over the internet and this fills the bill perfectly. If you need reports on water usage or want to configure for soil, plant or emitter types this is not for you. If you want a simple, iPhone or Android controllable system, you will be very happy with this. No monthly charges to link to Asante!!!!!!!!!!I installed this system yesterday and will update this if things change.

very easy app to run program stations
The product work greate, very easy app to run program stations, I do not give it 5 stars only because if you want to program 2 times the irrigation program( in the morning and at night) it has to be at the same time am/pm.I.e: 10am/pm, it does not has the fexibility to run I.e: 7am/ 11pm.

Lack of multiple programs
Really nice to have smart phone control. However you can only have one schedule for each of the 6 sprinklers. You can vary the duration of each but I can’t have one set work on 5 days and another to work 2 days. This was something that my older $20 controller has always done for many many years. Disappointed that a new product can’t reproduce the old system’s abilities.

Not an outside unit!
I do not own this unit! However I think it is a good idea. I am on the market for a new timer as mine is out of order so I contacted the company on chat for more information. Unfortunately, this is not a unit for me for the following reasons.This is a unit that needs to be installed in a garage, my current one is outside by the poolThis unit can sustain 115F, mine being outside in the sun of Arizona can be way hotterThis unit is not UV resistantThis unit is not waterproofSo even it is not a good fit for me, I wanted to let these information if this unit works for you.The chat support was quick and efficient, I liked that.

Not ready for primetime yet
Easy to set up and use, however It will not allow separate zones to run on separate days . All zones must run on the same day. That makes it totally non water saver and inflexible. Once they update the firmware to allow it to run separate zones on different days it will be a true 5 star.
