I think this is a very handy set to have for any trade. I bought this for work because I was looking for a socket set with a box that would fit in my tool bag. I don't have to use sockets too often but I didn't want to lug around some of the bigger and more expensive sets I have at home. Having metric and standard built into one is a great feature and cuts down on the amount of sockets you need to cary with you. The quality so far seems to be very good and I also wanted to buy this because it was built in the USA. Ive already used it for a couple of jobs and I love it every time. I am considering buying another set to throw in my truck as a quick backup.

It was a decent set. The ratchet could be slightly better as it was not the best.

Miss the old days of USA forged tools.
Awesome socket set. I was so excited to see a new socket set made with the American quality of the 80s! My Chinese craftsman set is OK, but, "it doesn't stand up to a 40 hour work week." For those who cannot afford SnapOn, this metrinch set is perfect for most jobs. Good ratchet, no sloppiness in the turning, nice good steel.

3/8 drive ratchet was made in the USA without a quality check
Pros. Made in the USACons. Made in the USAThe 3/8 drive ratchet is useless; inside mechanical is not working at all. Not sure how did a person do a quality check for the 3/8 drive. The sockets are good. Minus the 3/8 drive ratchet, this is set is a bit pricey.

Worth buying for sockets alone. Very inexpensive!
This socket kit is extremely inexpensive for such quality sockets. This is a price you'd pay at Harbor Freight, but this is a helluva lot better than anything they sell. If you don't have a set, then this the place to start, in my opinion.The main drawback is the ratchet. It has good retention on your attachment and the direction switch is easy to operate, but the ratchet feel/sounds as if it has a low tooth count. It could be that it needs to be work in so I just added a little lube and will see how it holds up over time.This is a solid set. It's only $25 man! Just add a 6-inch extension, swivel joint, and a different spark plug socket to make a very versatile kit.
