Very good product at a good price

I stripped the old plastic one when putting the distributor cap on, and found this replacement with all metal base and machine screws. It's been in my engine for 6 months and zero issues. I recommend!

great upgrade to stock ignition system.

Distributor is a bolt down no adjustment as it comes. When installing it would not set at tdc, either advanced or retarded. Found cam gear has a odd number of teeth, removed gear turned 180 deg and reinstalled. Then when installing distributor I was able to get tdc. Engine seems to run good. Seen some remove the hold down and switch to an adjustable. I used the hold down that cam with the distributor.

Distributor base is aluminum and not brittle plastic like OE that always breaks. Cap also has aluminum bushings that prevent crushing and a solid stop when tightening to distributor. Great value for the money and good build quality.

I relaxed my old and broken distributor on my 5.7 motor but could not get it to work and after days trying I gave up and took the truck to my local shop. They said the new distributor was no good and they had trouble with it also so they got a new one from local parts house and had no trouble with it working. I need to return this one but having it little over the 30 day return time it’s not returnable.

Once installed, it started and run perfectly. Would recommend to anybody.

I do like the metal housing, rather than the OEM plastic housing. With attention to details as you pull the original distributor out, you can put it back in exactly the same and with maybe a little minor tweeking the timing, works perfectly.
