Seikei Butter Knife Spreader Stainless Steel Knives, Set of 2

Forget the dinner knife! This is the ideal utensil for butter and spreads. The design of the blade and the curved handle makes it easy to manipulate it in many ways, to get into jars and to cover your piece of bread or cracker. It will make you feel like a master sandwich maker. Very strong, too, although, a warning, it's quite small, but you'll get accustomed to the size and will find it a delight to use.

Perfect size for what I expect to use them. My husband and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year. My extended family will use them during Thanksgiving dinner. I needed extra butter knives for the additional tables set for our big family dinner. They are excellent quality and I will be proud to have them on my table Thanksgiving Day and every meal set for my immediate family after. I can entertain with style. They are great for butter, breakfast spreads, cheese, and condiments. The point is very sharp.

These are very nice. I'm left handed and wish they tilted in the opposite direction but I'm happy with them.

I can't believe all the good reviews on these butter knives. The knife is too short to sit in a butter dish - the handle falls into the butter when you try to pass it at the dinner table. This was a gift, so I won't send it back. But I'll be buying a different butter knife. I am a short woman with short fingers and the handle is too small for me. Another reviewer said it is good for children's hands, and I would say that is all it is good for. In terms of quality, it looks like the cheap silverware that Walmart sells for a dollar a piece.

I realize these are classic butter knives, but they are too small in my opinion. I ended up getting cheese spreaders to use instead.

I was looking for a cheese knife and read a lot of reviews that said what they bought was cheaply made. I stumbled upon the Seikei knife and immediately like that it was stainless steel, had a handle with a flat serrated "blade" since I cut hard cheese a lot. Nicely packaged, dishwasher safe and came out beautifully, but the most important it cut through aged cheddar, stilton, fontina and brie with a breeze. I don't use them for butter but I'd imagine they would cut through cold butter easily. I recommend them, comes in a set of 2. I'll probably buy another 2 sets.
