I bought this powder for a "Bond" party, where I, and oh too many others, went as Jill Masterson, the Bond girl painted gold.The powder packaging states that you are to use a special base before applying...which I didn't know nor have, so I used foundation make-up. The foundation changed the color to a darker, slightly green color, (think Star Trek not Bond), but it was brilliant gold despite the hue and thus had the desired look.Over time (maybe 3-4 hours), the metal started to dry and make my skin look a little odd, but that may have been due to my not using the appropriate base. It still looked and felt OK. It did not feel caked, hot, or uncomfortable, but it did sweat off slightly on my face when I wiped with a napkin.The gold washed off easily in the shower and with makeup remover. It did not stain my black dress (but I was somewhat careful). It did not stain the counter where I had been applying it.Shipping & packaging were quick and good; no complaints.My only regret was not knowing about the base, as I would have bought it. Perhaps for the next use; as others noted, it does go a long way.Happy painting!

Hey, I bought this a few weeks ago and it worked great. I'm just gonna answer a few questions I had before I bought. #1 The gold jar did come in a 1 ounce jar even though it said it came in a half ounce jar at the "product details" thing. #2 They say you need to buy mixing liquid but I used rubbing alcohol and it worked great (use 1 part powder to 2 parts alcohol.) #3 The jar covered my entire body from head to toe and I still have more than half the jar left over. #4 It did not come off very well at all... It took me allot of scrubbing with soap and I still had goldish spots all over me.All in all it worked very well for what I was doing but I did have some problems with taking it off.

This stuff is more metallic than anything else I tried. Even all the gold metallic eyeshadows at beauty store dull in comparison; this stuff really does make your skin metallic. I mixed it with coconut oil and applied with a paintbrush for easy coverage. My only mistake was getting it too close to my eyes - they became quite irritated and I had to wash off after three hours. (In the picture, only my face ears and neck are painted with this. My hair was done with party store gold spray, and the rest of me is wearing various gold fabrics)

I used this to transform into a robot for VBS. Everyone one was very impressed. I surprised the people at Sonic both times I went. "You're shiny!!!" "You make me think of an 80's video" I was worried about taking it off...it washed right off with soap and water. I put it on with just rubbing alcohol and the powder using a paintbrush. I totally blew everyone away...I have so much left...I can't wait to come up with some other costume to use this. The makeup did rub off on everything I touched, but it was just fine...cleans up with a baby wipe.

This powder is the PERFECT metallic silver. It is extremely pigmented with just one swipe! I forgot to purchase mixing liquid so we decided to mix it with Ben Nye Final Seal because I wanted it to stay on my face while I performed on stage and it did just that! My dance partner and I danced outdoors and sweat so much and this product did not budge!!! It was well worth the money! This would be perfect for a tin man or robot costume!

I used this product two Halloween party nights in a row. First combined with Magic Set Mixing Liquid and the second night just brushed on my body. The liquid kept the powder from rubbing off of on anything and I had a very fun night. The second night I left silver behind anywhere that I sat and inside of my coat. I bought two jars to cover my arms/shoulders/face/legs just in case and ended using half a jar after two nights. I have A LOT leftover. A little goes a very long way and I will be using the rest in craft projects and anytime a need a bit of sparkly silver makeup. It washed off easily with soap and water in the shower.

This powdered metal gold is beautiful. At first I was slightly disappointed because the color looked darker than the picture depicted, but after using it, I'm thrilled. It's perfect!

Product arrived as promised. Haven't weighed or tried the product yet so can't say whether or not it will perform as expected.
