I tested this item on bench before installing it,All seemed ok ,I spent 6 hours feeding and looming wires and fitting to fuse box, all looked factory fitted so I decided to to test itAll was good for the first five times , then it made strange noise and stopped working, no fuse had blown.I opened it up and there was nothing holding anything inSmall circuit board that was very hot and a little speaker just stuck inside, tested it but some components had gone in the board, that was only five minutes of use and it was very warm insideI can imagine if you had it on and went for a run how hot that unit would end up ,Warning, do not leave it on and walk away from your car, it could cause a fire .I cut the wires and sent it back for refundSo six hours of wasted time, and yes I am a motor engineer.
