Never knew light bulbs could be addicting!
Bought one of these bulbs at a local closeout store for $10 to replace an old school red tinted bulb I used in the bedroom as a night light. Ended up loving it so much I ordered the 4 pack, which was cheaper than purchasing more at the discount store. I am not very savvy when it comes to the newer home wifi trend. It's so cool how you can turn a light on when your not even home! Loads of options with these bulbs, including an unlimited color range, ability to set on timer, and dimming capabilities. Currently have 3 bulbs installed, in 3 different rooms so I have yet to use the "scene" function (I think that gives the ability to link multiple lights as one unit). To note, I believe the only way to use all functions is through the app. If you turn the light on via the switch, it will only function as a regular bulb (no dimming, no color, etc.) SUPER easy to install. It took longer to open the box...seriously! I love these bulbs so much I will be finding a way to install at least one of these bulbs in every room. I have not had any connection issues or problems with the bulbs functioning, as I noticed was mentioned in some older posts. Maybe the kinks have been worked out? Do yourself a favor and buy the 4 pack off the bat to save a little money. They become very addicting!!

Pretty Good!
I'm a professional theatrical lighting designer: I know light and color. This unit doesn't offer the best in either brightness or color rendering but for the price, that's pretty hard to complain about. It's definitely adequate. I had no trouble configuring the product with the Energizer Connect app nor with connecting that app to Alexa. The bulb fades on and off pleasantly and the color temperature adjustment works very nicely. The white functions are definitely a stronger feature than the colors. I will be purchasing more.

This device DID NOT fill my room with vibrant, multi-color light.
I just wanted a simple light bulb that changes colors. Sigh... I didn't expect to waste 3+ hours of my life trying to get it to work. I hasn't.I didn't plan to try over, and over, and over, and over to get it to connect. I didn't expect to go from room-to-room trying different light fixtures to see if I could get it to work. I didn't expect to have to call my service provider to confirm that I did indeed have my router set as 2.4 GHz. I didn't want to get on the floor with a lamp placed directly in front of said 2.4 GHz router (“Get close to the router”, the instructions read) trying over, and over, and over, and over to get it to connect. I didn't expect that I would not be able to connect to said 2.4 GHz router after hours of trying. I didn't like having to 'switch the light on and off 5 times' over, and over, and over, and over to try and connect. Considering there is the WiFi mode (turn the light on/off 5x for this mode!), and the AP mode (turn the light on/off 5x for this mode!) my arm was quite sore.In the end I just gave up. Life is too short to waste time turning a light switch on and off over, and over, and over in the hopes that “this time it WILL connect!” I was starting to question my sanity. But in the spirit of Christmas someone will be getting a fancy, high tech, ‘smart’ (that’s debatable) LED light bulb. Now I just need to figure out which friend annoyed me the most this year so this crappy device will annoy the heck out of them!

5.0 connection will not work… Must have 2.4 internet/router also
Must have 2.4 not just 5.0 internet/router. I was unable to connect these bulbs. They are way too expensive to determined upon receipt or not compatible with your connection. Certain routers will not connect. They specifically say AT&T -which I have -and only have 5.0 not to 2.4 and bulb will not connect without 2.4. I did not know this until you purchase...confirm you have speed is 2.4 before purchase. I did give them to my cousin who has both to put your hand 5.0 on Comcast. I will be happy to edit my review when I know how easy or not it is for her to use.

You can't beat the price vs anything in the same market.
These are tricky to set up at first. But all you need to do is download the Energizer app, set them up (unfortunately there is a glitch in the app that doesn't tell you they're synced) then link them to your main hub. I use Google home to manage my devices. I had a set of these for a year that are still working strong and I never have any issue. I ended up buying GE's version of this bulb from Best Buy for 2x the price. The bulbs never worked properly and they're supposed to have a deal with Google where you just plug in, sync and use. I took those back, got another pair of these... Set up in 5 minutes and it's been about a month or two and I never have issues. Even when I accidently unplug the bulb they still remain synced.

Works intermittently with ALEXA
If you need a bulb to turn on and off then this is your bulb, and that's why it gets the only star I would give it. I got one and spent a couple of hours trying to pair it with my Wi-Fi to no avail, and I know my Wi-Fi is not the issue since I have had other devices pair with it in seconds. So I thought it might be defective and returned it for an exchange. Now the second one worked OK with the app once it connect to my Wi-Fi which by the way took over an hour but only on the phone app. It would work for a few minutes with Alexa and then it would stop working and had to reset by going through the whole process again. if you have a smart home using Alexa this is not the bulb for you.

Great bulb, brilliant color, slightly difficulty setting up on Wifi
As a multi color light goes, this is a great option. Having the ability to change to a standard color or changing the brightness from my Google Home is could not be easier. Changing to a more select color or a variety of color displays, the app is very used friendly. I have used this light in an outdoor enclosed lamp post and it works great and now we can tell our guest we are the house with the turquoise light or the red and green flashing light. The only issue I had was getting the light connected to my wifi which was a little harder than expected, but I eventually was able to get the bulb in pairing mode turning it on and off half a dozen times in rapid succession. For being one of the less expensive smart bulbs that I found, this is the bulb that I will be gradually replacing many of the lights in my house with
