Well-built supply - but grounds are not isolated.
This is a good isolation transformer - but it is not "laboratory grade" and does have the incoming ground connected to the outgoing ground.I needed a nearly totally "floating" supply for my testing with an oscilloscope where I was measuring current across a resistor - so I used a "cheater" two prong adapter and I put "bleeder" resistors from common to ground so that the supply did not "float" too high. (If you are in electronics, you know what this means). And for my purposes, that worked.Construction looks good - I took it apart and checked.

Product miss-information !!!
Output voltage measures 134 volts with a 120 volt input.Nice package, nice size and weight, but if the output voltage is critical to you, give it some thought.Maybe at full load of 1.5 amps the output voltage may drop to 120 volts ????

works as expected
remember the third pin is connected ground both input and output sides.

Excellent product for the price
Amazing price/performance ratio; other isolation transformers are easily many times the price. The product could be improved by adding a power switch and a ground lift switch; I will probably hack mine to add them.

what a crap company and what crap equipment
It doesn't isolate well at all. I still get 60Vac to earth ground at both the positive and negative outputs of the bridge rectifier in a switched power supply. THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS! I wrote BK Precision about it and they told me to send it in I haven't even used it yet. In 10 years on Amazon I have never written a one star review, what a crap company and what crap equipment.

Well built with reasonable power capability
Essential device to have it you work with line powered devices but a bit pricey. It is well built and reasonable power capability.

The ground prong on the front is ground.
These work fine. You can't put a three prong plug on the front of a device and not have the ground at earth ground potential. The other two (hot and neutral) are isolated. If you don't want to ground your equipment, don't use the third terminal.
