Originally had to tweak settings a bit to avoid channel noise. But once I got it dialed in I've been very happy. Ive used it so far in multiple political commercials and it hasn't let me down yet. Battery life is great. I've had one or two takes that had a little noise on them but I've encountered that with high dollar Lectrosonic brand wireless systems as well. Certain location settings just provide interference for wireless systems. I will say the mic that comes with it is trash. I bought a Rhodes "RHODELink LAV" for $100 from B&H when I bought the system. It makes a world of difference. I tested the Balila mic briefly and was very happy I went for a professional mic to go with the system. Bottom line: For less than $250 all in I feel like I have a $1000+ mic system.Use MEDIUM setting on Transmitter and Receiver volume at around 24 or 25. This configuration gave me the least amount of head noise. I had to push it a good deal in camera to get the level I usually record with (barely kissing red) but I have a Sony FS5 with XLR inputs and professional preamps. So I figured I'd rather push it on that end. You could push it more on the Receiver end if you need to for your set up but I would avoid the HIGH setting on the Transmitter.

I appreciated the quality of this pair, but found the Owners Manual to be ineffectively written and hard to follow. I had difficulty controlling the volume output which was too loud for my editing suite to correct. I tried setting the volume to medium, and then to low, but each time it recorded at high. I'm sure there is some way to handle it better, but, could not find it in the Owners Manual.

When I received my order, I asked my wife to talk into the microphone as I walked further and further away. I was able to get clear reception from about 150 feet away. Very nice!When I actually used this wireless mic at an event, I was getting a lot of distortion when speaker talked. Since this person had a very loud, strong voice - I tried turning down the mic level on the mic transmitter and the receiver unit. I was still getting distortion on the loudest parts of the talent's voice. I finally tried plugging in another microphone to the mic transmitter unit. No distortion and clear reception of the speaker. After this test, I ordered a replacement mic from Amazon and now am using it.So, bottom line: The transmitter and receiver work great for the price. The lav mic that comes with the set is garbage. You will need to spend another $20 or $30 to get a good mic to use with this system.

Quality sound and more range than you will ever need! Quality built with metal casing and features and as screw down connectors that some more expensive units don't have. I got this unit for 50 bucks which was a steal. If you are looking for a very light weight and extra small unit then this is NOT the unit for you, the metal casings add a little weight but ensures that if you drop the unit no worries about cracking the casing. I really liked the system for the first two months of ownership. The sound quality is very good with my Lumix FZ1000 camera. I had no initial problems with level adjustments or operation. The accessories provided are quite useful and add value to the kit. However, during a video shoot the transmitter screen was lit but had no characters displayed. It still transmitted audio and I finished the session. However, the buttons didn't function so I couldn't shut it off. I let it fully discharge and recharged it the next day. The built-in rechargeable batteries last quite a long while. I was able to turn it on, but the transmitter screen was again lit but blank. It was operational, but could not be turned off since the buttons were frozen. This is the only way I can use it. I can't change the transmitter settings nor can I turn it off without discharging the batteries. Very odd. I wrote several times to Balila Customer Support, but my emails seem to have vanished and remain unanswered. This particular product is now unavailable. I was able to activate the display a few times by squeezing the transmitter housing lightly near the display. There seems to be an internal connection issue. Otherwise, this is a fine product. Seems there are issues with quality control, reliability and a total lack of customer support. If I don't get a response from Balila, I'll try opening the sealed metal case and finding the loose connection. I'm quite disappointed. I was debating whether to give more stars, but the complete lack of support is inexcusable.

I am a content creator that I need to use microphone when I am shooting. I really like this microphone. The sounds and videos turns out very clear. Very user friendly as well for beginner. The 3.5mm audio cable can be easily connected to my camera. It also comes with a handbag that is very convenient when I shoot content outdoor. Love this device!!!

After I gently used the microphone and transmitter with good results the system stopped working after very minimal usage ( 5-6 hours total). The system seemed to work great. I made 3 or 4 1 minute videos using it. Which had good sound quality but the output is not working. The transmitter seems to be working but the receiver does not output sound into an external machine.

I like this Wireless Lavalier microphone! It is fairly simple to use, the sound quality is great. With these, I can capture the audio of people directly into the camera! This saved me a lot of time in the editing room. and in addition, I can charge them without having to buy a battery. It also has a very comfortable metal case.
