Sesame Street - Elmo's Play Day - Play-a-Sound Book and Cuddly Elmo Plush - PI Kids

Okay, let's start by talking about the pros to this little set.. I bought it for my 2 1/2 year old son whom has recently decided he LOVES books! No matter the type, size, or even the amount of pictures lol. He also has to have a stuffed animal when he sleeps, first wakes up, is tired, or sick.. His most recent cuddle buddy of choice is a blue raggedy Mickey Mouse. So I thought this little bundle would "kill two birds with one stone" lol. Well I was really impressed with the little Elmo first off.. I was expecting him to be made very cheaply. (Dollar store type material and poorly made) But suprisingly he is made quite well, and he's made of a super soft material! And the book, I was very shocked at how loud the sounds are when you press a button, most are kind of dull or muffled sounding but not this one.. This one is very clear and quite loud actually. And as always I was very pleased with the Amazon' delivery, i recieved it the morning of my estimated delivery date! Now for the cons and the things about this bundle that really disappointed me: Okay, so back to Elmo.. Although he is made very well and out of good material, he is tiny.. Even for my 2 1/2 year old. Compared to "standard" sized stuffed animals he's prob about half that size. Very small, I was expecting "standard" (like around 8 inches from head to legs, not 8 inches from head to bottom of feet) I wear a size 8 in women's shoes and my foot is almost an inch bigger than poor little Elmo. And as you can see Elmo sits evenly beside the book in the picture so yes, the book is quite small also.. I was expecting a "standard" size book also, not a toddler size. But since it was for my toddler I didn't think much of it, that is until I opened it... The book only has a total of 4 pages. A cover, 2 middle pages, and the back.. It would have been nice for at least one extra page. And lastly I was very impressed with the volume of the buttons on the book but I'm wondering if the extra volume will lead to a fast dying battery (which these "watch type" batteries for books like this aren't necessarily expensive but $3 every week will get old rather quickly) plus my son shares a room with his 6 month old brother and was kinda hoping this would be something he could play with in bed until his brother wakes up, but judging by the volume level I think it's probably safer for mommy to read it with him at night and then put it on the top shelf until everyone is awake. Lol. So there's my opinion, just something to think about. It's a nice set for a young child I'd say for around $6 but not quite what I was expecting for double.

I bought this set about a year ago from another seller, I got this one to match the Elmo so we would have a back-up to my son's beloved "baby" as he calls it (pictured on the right). While the set is the same, this Elmo is such terrible quality that I was really disappointed. His fur is cheap, his eyes are bizarrely shaped (and cross-eyed), and Elmo has an over bite (pictured left). My 2 year old looked at him laughed and threw him on the ground, saying "eww". Haha...Obvisouly not the same.

I got this for my grandson who was 2 for Christmas n everytime he spends the night with me he sleeps with Elmo n I have to read him the book. So I would say my grandson loves his little Elmo.

I was a bit disappointed that I only recieved the book and not the little elmo toy.. Also I bought new batteries since the buttons didn't work and found out some of the previous batteries were corroded 😞I was able to clean it up a bit and it works.. And the book wasn't in horrible shape which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1..But I'm definitelt disappointed in not getting the little elmo toy like in the description

18 month old granddaughter loves it. Elmo was a bonus too. He was a great pack-a-long size.

I bought this for a one-year-old as a birthday gift. It's really cute but way smaller than expected.

My niece loves Elmo so I got her this for easter and she still loves this toy and book set. I would recommend this gift for any one who has a child who loves and cannot get enough of Elmo.
