Pleasantly surprised and impressed. Purchased this set mostly for the soldering iron, but I am impressed by all of the parts of the kit. The kit comes in a nice, nylon zippered case. The set includes everything you need to start out soldering electronics. It includes an adjustable temperature soldering iron, 60 watts, a solder sucker/remover, a small amount of solder, some fine gauge wire, offset ESD tweezers, wire stripper, and a soldering iron stand. The solder sucker works very well and is mostly metal. The solder and wire are a nice bonus, if you have none on hand. The iron is where this set really shines, it is a 60 watt iron, with adjustable temperature with a display. To turn it on, just hold down the center button a few seconds and the iron will display the actual temperature. The iron heats to 650 F in about 10 seconds. A quick tap of the center button also changes from C to F. There are up and down buttons to control the temperature. It also comes with many solder tips including chisel, offset, fine point, and knife style. The tips are all pre-tinned nicely. I have been working with electronics for over 20 years and this is a great iron/set for the money. The stand is also included, nothing special, but it works and has a spot for a sponge. The iron is nice and light, pencil style. I didn't expect such a light iron to work so well. If you are just starting out or want a portable soldering set as a backup, this is a great set!

Purchased this solder set for a specific project. My father had a old radio as a boy, and several of the wires had come off. I decided to try to fix this which precipitated my purchase of the iron. The iron came nicely packaged. It is very well made with a clear on and off switch and temperature control . It came with some solder, but I needed a specific solder for the radio. The iron has a very fine tip which allows you to do very particular work, which this was. I was extremely pleased that the iron maintained the temperature throughout the project. It was not necessary to heat and reheat the iron, while waiting in between soldering points.The iron also has a stand to hold the iron while hot and not in use. It is sturdy and holds the iron with confidence. With the various tips, the tweezers, and the clips that come included with this kit. The case to put all away in is nicely made and adequate to hold the kit nicely together and separated.My project worked, the iron was key in fixing the radio. It is moderately priced, but more than adequate to do projects with. It provided the heat control, as well as all the necessary accessories to do the job correctly. Based on the performance, tools included and the price, I would recommend this kit for others.

This soldering kit contains a comprehensive set of soldering tools and accessories for my husband to do small jobs around the house. The best feature is the soldering tool has an LCD that displays accurate temperature readings and he can adjust the temperature within 1 degree increments from 180-500℃(356-932℉) to set the right temp for a specific type of job. With everything organized in the zipper case, he can take it upstairs, downstairs, to the garage, or even another family member’s house without juggling multiple bags or items. If he powers the soldering tool on, and has to step away, it has an emergency shut-off, so nothing burns. My husband likes it a lot. So far, he’s used it to repair a Tiffany lampshade. For the price, it’s a super buy and quality product!

I have been borrowing my neighbor's hand me down solder set for years; recently, his stopped heating up due to a faulty plug, so I decided to buy my own.This is a nice set for the money. I like the zippered nylon case to keep in all the components. I like how the temperature can be adjusted and the digital readout is a nice touch. It had everything I needed to get my recent need done. I won't be using this that often, but it is nice to have your own in a crunch. It also comes with parts that I will probably never need to use, but I guess that they are good to have if I do need them.I like this set. It is better than the one my neighbor had and now I anticipate that he'll be over to borrow mine.

I am not a professional and bought this mainly to fix a guitar hero drum set that had wires coming loose. I wanted to buy a set that had everything in it so I didn't have to buy the iron, solder, wires, stand etc separately. I like how this set has all those items included even if in small amounts. Good enough to do basic soldering jobs around the house. I think it's a perfect set for that use case. In the small soldering work I have done so far it's worked great. I have used some old school irons in the past and compared to that this one feels light and plasticky and flimsy, but works great and I think it's just made for a different audience. I'm happy with it. Also interesting that it has a temperature gauge. I am not sure of the benefits, but I guess I could over time know which temperature works best and start being more precise.

First time it worked wonderfully. The second time it was powered on the temperature setting and reading were all over the place. Didn't get hotter than 150 degrees irregardless of setting. Sending back. Lastly, the iron holder is too open. Iron can literally go right through it.Update: company reached out. Even repeatedly after I initially ignored the email. (Thought it was spam since all it said was card services) they refunded my purchase price. The second unit has been working better. The temp needs to be recalibrated a but but I've used it 3 times now and so far so good. Time will tell. Increasing to 3 stars for good customer service. Will increase another if this iron lasts for a while.Edit 2: iron still going. 1 more star

The soldering iron is neat and easy to use with a temperature gauge and buttons to switch it on or off and to increase or decrease the temperature. It got quickly up to the correct temperature and worked well for the small soldering jobs we used it for. The accessories are ok, though not brilliant. The wire stripper is not very effective, but the tweezers , stand and solder sucker are usable. It also has spare bits for pretty much any job and the bits are easy to change. The case it comes in is very handy for keeping everything together.

I just needed a replacement iron for bits and pieces, this came up so bought knowing at this price it might not be any good. Since it has arrived i have managed to do a dreamcast hdmi conversion and a repair on my wifes phone. The temperature control is brilliant and with the aid of some liquid flux it can tackle most jobs.

like all made in china products packed up after the 30 days. literally by 3 days, so no return or refund.i would recommend you stay away from this product. in fact im considering staying away from amazon full stop

Nice packaging and thought out extras.Unfortunately, the iron itself just won't get hot enough (I tried all the different included tips) to melt solder (260-270C).I chucked it in the bin and ordered an Antex :-(

Great kit,complete and all in a neat case. Very handy to keep stuff together. Decent quality for price.
