National Arcraft Oil Lamp Burner Fits Mason Jars or #2 Oil Lamps (Pkg/5)

These are great for what they are. They're made in China so you get what you pay for. They're not the greatest lantern/lamp; but if you need something for backup light if the power goes out or the hunt cabin... These are an economical option. What you get, are five Chinese made oil lamp burners. That have threads for a standard oil lamp base and another one that fits a regular mouth mason jar. Advantage being, you can keep a mason jar of lamp oil sealed and only connect the lamp portion when you need to use it.Amazon bundles these with lamp chimneys and extra lamp wick. You need them both... First of all it's just the base base of an oil lamp. Oil lamp's are designed to be burned inside which require a glass chimney to work efficiently. If you want something to burn only outside; they make a similar product for outside use that has an open flame and takes a simple "tiki torch" wick and fuel. Secondly, the wick that comes with the base will barely touch the bottom of a half pint mason jar. You're going to want to get the five extra feet of wick as well. Pint and half pint jars work great; but I don't think a quart mason jar is efficient (or safe); when the oil get's low.Decent product; good seller (at the time I bought their product); would buy again.

They aren't the greatest quality, but a really great price for each considering what I am using them for. They are a little flimsy, but again, I am happy with them for the purpose of what I wanted to use it for. And when I received them, I had a couple that were damaged by shipping, but the seller immediately provided two extra for me in place of the damaged ones. They were very on top of it and I appreciated the experience. They look exactly like the picture - they are bright and everything works well on the ones that were not damaged. The lamp wick is shorter and thinner than I thought, but it works great for what I am placing them into which are shorter mason jars.

Works great with ball jars and you can buy these at Lehman's hardware for 3x the price. If you want to pay more.Of course there made in China.

Were not the greatest quality, but did the trick with a little adjustment so globe would fit in.

Good product. We began using these the day they arrived. It fits various size of our Mason jars.I believe the wicks sent were too short. Replaced them immediately. This is the reason for 3 stars.

What a great idea this is! You make your own lamps using canning jars. If one breaks just get another jar. What could be better?! Terrific product!
