Changed the recipe and now it's disgusting.
I started off using Swanson chicken broth, but noticed that they changed their recipe. I ruined many soups before I realized that the broth was the problem. So years ago I made the switch to using Kitchen Basics and College Inn. Both of those were great. Now the last few batches of Kitchen Basics I've used to make soup have been terrible. Yesterday Beef stock, and today Chicken stock. Both taste bitter and disgusting with hardly any chicken or beef flavor, and nothing you add to it can fix it since the broth is the base. I've given this brand enough tries, but I've thrown away enough food and I'm done. College Inn is the last store bought brand that works for me, and I'm just going to stick with them from now on. Other people must have already caught on because when I went to the grocery store yesterday, all of the other brands were sold out except for Swanson and Kitchen Basics, and some store brand. What does that say?
