Works with Boltbuster
I've burnt the insulation off several Bolt Buster coils during the last 10 years. I've also learned not to heat oily or greasy things if I can avoid it or to heat things red hot. Apply penetrant after you heat your frozen nuts. However, the insulation still burns up eventually. These replacement flexible litz wires work fine and you get three for the price of one. These are a bit thinner than original Bolt Buster wires. Some people don't seem to understand that these are supposed to be floppy. You can wrap them around larger or awkward objects. I used my original one to heat a 4 inch chain link end/gate post enough to bend it back after someone hit it. The bend was about 2 feet up on a six foot post with chain link attached, so a coil wouldn't have worked well. There are straight stiff wires that you can shape available, but that's not what these are. I love my Bolt Buster, and seldom use the torch except on completely rusted exhaust bolts, but coils are considered consumable.

The heater coil was ordered for a test we need to complete for an automotive customer. The coil performed to the expectations for this test.
