Loved by horses for its taste and feel! The GCH Snaffle Bit is used by professionals and beginners alike. Scott Johnson, a leading Cutting Horse Trainer likes to use it as he gets better direction with the fixed sides. The sweet water steel mouthpiece tastes good to horses and adjusts to temperature quickly. For example, if your GCH Bit is exceptionally cold or hot, hold the mouthpiece in your hand for a few seconds to bring it back to your hands temperature. The copper inlay within the sweet water steel mouthpiece keeps your horses mouth moist. The GCH Snaffle Bit has a gradual curve mouth piece. The GCH Snaffle Bit has fixed sides, the stainless steel D is welded to the curved mouthpiece to avoid pinching and give extra control for direction. 5" standard size. The stainless steel sides keeps ‘em prrrty! Marina Sues highly recommends these bits. One of her horses being a very sensitive Arab gelding who hated any type of bit they tried, no matter how soft they rode him. He is a different horse with this bit and is now easily controlled by Marinas 8 year old who competes on him in gymkhana's and horse sports. Great looking Snaffle, just a little showy but not too much! As with all Sweet Water Steel Bits, the mouthpiece will rust however the Stainless Steel D’s will stay as good as new for years. Greg Cook has trained horses for 40 years and has chosen this bit as his own. With just the right amount of pressure, it’s comfortable for most horses, the mouthpiece has a gentle curve and ALL of Greg’s horses love it - and he has plenty! He also trains his clients horses in the GCH Snaffle Bit, it reduces a lot of fiddling and nervous playing with the bit. Making the horse more relaxed in training helping them to respond better in a more willing and relaxed frame of mind. Greg has a saying, ‘If you can’t do it in a Snaffle Bit, you shouldn’t do it in a Curb Bit’. This goes for older, more trained horses and young ones.
