Came with the black paint flaking off the entire handle in sheets. It didn’t complete come off so left ridges I tried to sand down to not irritate my fingers when using

Good pen. Much better than those double ended pens sold by most art stores. The finish is pretty sloppy looking.

I ordered all three sizes, this is the first one I used so far. The black finish started to flake off right away. I do not know how other bamboo pens are, but am happy how it works. Just tired of picking up flakes of black paint off the floor. Bill Buckman's book, Expressive Figure Drawing," is a great find.

This reed pen was recommended as a fun new tool for journaling, and it truly is. It is over-sized, which inspires me to create loose, spontaneous lines. Very adventurous.

I bought this pen after reviewing Bill Buchman's "Zen Breakthrough" DVD. This pen is an excellent tool for the work I do and I reach for it a lot. I also bought the "Bold" (#3) Zen pen and plan to buy the "Fine" (#1) pen. Your hand and your work will love it!

Be careful when you buying it!! This bamboo pen is HUGE! I thought it was a regular size pen but no, it is like a bamboo stick! I haven't used it yet. The size just made me feel I can only use it for special occasions. And the pen looks very dirty too.
